Several copper-ligands, including 1,10-phenanthroline (Phen), have been investigated for anticancer purposes based on their capacity to bind excess copper (Cu) in cancer tissues and form redox active complexes able to catalyse the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), ultimately leading to oxidative stress and cell death. Glutathione (GSH) is a critical compound as it is highly concentrated intracellularly and can reduce and dissociate copper(II) from the ligand forming poorly redox-active copper(I)-thiolate clusters. Here we report that Cu-Phen speciation evolves in physiologically relevant GSH concentrations.

The in-vessel silicon diode arrays that are used for soft x-ray detection in many tokamaks are sensitive to neutron damage, making them unsuitable for burning plasma devices such as SPARC. In such a device, the silicon diodes would need to be placed far from the plasma-limiting their field of view-or an alternative detector could be used. Here, we present the design of a camera containing an array of chemical vapor deposition single-crystal diamonds, which will be placed in the upper and lower port plugs of the SPARC tokamak with a large enough view of the poloidal cross section to enable tomographic inversion.

This Letter presents the first study of the energy dependence of diboson polarization fractions in WZ→ℓνℓ^{'}ℓ^{'}(ℓ,ℓ^{'}=e,μ) production. The dataset used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector. Two fiducial regions with an enhanced presence of events featuring two longitudinally polarized bosons are defined.

We report on a direct search for scalar field dark matter using data from LIGO's third observing run. We analyze the coupling of size oscillations of the interferometer's beam splitter and arm test masses that may be caused by scalar field dark matter. Using new efficient search methods to maximize sensitivity for signatures of such oscillations, we set new upper limits for the coupling constants of scalar field dark matter as a function of its mass, which improve upon bounds from previous direct searches by up to four orders of magnitude in a frequency band from 10 to 180 Hz.

The extraordinary quantum properties of nonequilibrium systems governed by dissipative dynamics have become a focal point in contemporary scientific inquiry. The nonequilibrium Green's functions (NEGF) theory provides a versatile method for addressing driven nondissipative systems, utilizing the powerful diagrammatic technique to incorporate correlation effects. We here present a second-quantization approach to the dissipative NEGF theory, reformulating Keldysh ideas to accommodate Lindbladian dynamics and extending the Kadanoff-Baym equations accordingly.

In this article, we investigate the probability of the origin of life (per conducive site) by leveraging insights from Earth's environments. Objectives: To develop a deep learning (DL)-model using convolutional neural networks (CNN) to automatically identify the fetal head position at transperineal ultrasound in the second stage of labor.
Material And Methods: Prospective, multicenter study including singleton, term, cephalic pregnancies in the second stage of labor. We assessed the fetal head position using transabdominal ultrasound and subsequently, obtained an image of the fetal head on the axial plane using transperineal ultrasound and labeled it according to the transabdominal ultrasound findings.

Topic: To provide an overview on the incidence of Acanthamoeba keratitis (AK).
Clinical Relevance: Although being a sight-threatening cause of infectious keratitis, a comprehensive assessment of the incidence of AK is lacking.
Methods: Incidence of AK was computed as the number of eyes with AK per health care center, per year (annualized center incidence [ACI]).
Given the selection of elderly patients with AML in first complete remission (CR1) the advantage of consolidation with allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) over chemotherapy is still unclear. Newly diagnosed AML patients in CR1 aged 60-75 years were registered and a donor search initiated. After one consolidation cycle, patients with a matched donor were randomized to HCT with fludarabine/low-dose total body irradiation and cyclosporine/mycophenolate mofetil immunosuppression or conventional non-HCT.

Statistical combinations of searches for charginos and neutralinos using various decay channels are performed using 139 fb^{-1} of pp collision data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Searches targeting pure-wino chargino pair production, pure-wino chargino-neutralino production, or Higgsino production decaying via standard model W, Z, or h bosons are combined to extend the mass reach to the produced supersymmetric particles by 30-100 GeV. The depth of the sensitivity of the original searches is also improved by the combinations, lowering the 95% C.

Real-world data on treatment patterns and outcomes of patients with acute myeloid leukemia unfit for intensive chemotherapy are lacking before the advent of precision medicine in this setting. Herein, we present the Italian sub-analysis of the CURRENT study in AML patients unfit for first line intensive chemotherapy, evaluating patients' outcomes between 2015 and 2018. Among 74 evaluable patients, 62 received systemic treatments (most used therapy was hypomethylating agents), while 12 best supportive care.

Introduction: The Patient Acceptable Symptoms State (PASS) is a validated instrument that is used to assess whether a patient with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) accepts her/his disease status by asking them a simple question: "Think about all the ways your PsA has affected you during the last 48 h. If you were to remain in the next few months as you were during the last 48 h, would this be acceptable to you?" The aim of the present study was to explore any PASS differences in patients with PsA based on sex by looking at the corresponding thresholds of Disease Activity for Psoriatic Arthritis (DAPSA), Psoriatic Arthritis Impact of the Disease-12 (PsAID-12) and the Health Assessment Questionnaire-Disability Index (HAQ-DI) in female and male patients.
Methods: This was a cross-sectional study that included two PsA cohorts.

We present a lattice determination of the inclusive decay rate of the process τ↦X_{us}ν_{τ} in which the τ lepton decays into a generic hadronic state X_{us} with u[over ¯]s flavor quantum numbers. Our results have been obtained in n_{f}=2+1+1 isosymmetric QCD with full nonperturbative accuracy, without any operator product expansion approximation and, except for the presently missing long-distance isospin-breaking corrections, include a solid estimate of all sources of theoretical uncertainties.
