The most precise measurements to date of the _{Λ}^{3}H lifetime τ and Λ separation energy B_{Λ} are obtained using the data sample of Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV collected by ALICE at the LHC. The _{Λ}^{3}H is reconstructed via its charged two-body mesonic decay channel (_{Λ}^{3}H→^{3}He+π^{-} and the charge-conjugate process).

Introduction: Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) is an acute heart failure syndrome, featured by transient left ventricular systolic dysfunction. Recurrences of TTS are not infrequent and there is no standard preventive therapy. The aim of this study was to evaluate in a network meta-analysis if beta-blockers (BB) and ACE inhibitors/angiotensin receptor blockers (ACEi/ARBs), in combination or not, can effectively prevent TTS recurrences.

The transverse-momentum (p_{T}) spectra and coalescence parameters B_{2} of (anti)deuterons are measured in p-p collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV for the first time in and out of jets. In this measurement, the direction of the leading particle with the highest p_{T} in the event (p_{T}^{lead}>5 GeV/c) is used as an approximation for the jet axis. The event is consequently divided into three azimuthal regions, and the jet signal is obtained as the difference between the toward region, that contains jet fragmentation products in addition to the underlying event (UE), and the transverse region, which is dominated by the UE.

Introduction: Hypercholesterolemia is one of the main risk factors associated with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and coronary heart disease. Statins are the standard cholesterollowering treatment; however, they have shown, in clinical practice, a reduced adherence to therapy (<50%) and a modest achievement of the expected outcomes for treatment. This condition prompt scientific research to develop drugs with different mechanisms of action.

An evaluation of the operative functioning data of 183 Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) in Apulia (Southeast of Italy) has been carried out aimed to assess their Green House Gases (GHGs) emissions and the level for which the use of anaerobic sludge treatment should be more convenient in terms of electricity consumption and of GHGs emissions. Out of the 183 studies WWTPs, 140 are practicing aerobic digestion of sludge, while the remaining 43 are practicing anaerobic digestion of sludge. WWTPs in Apulia are serving about 4,81 million PE (Population Equivalent), yielding approximately 600,000-ton equivalent CO per annum.

Background: Head and neck infections are commonly caused by affections with an odontogenic origin. Untreated or non-responsive to treatment odontogenic infections can cause severe consequences such as localized abscesses, deep neck infections (DNI), and mediastinitis, conditions where emergency procedures such as tracheostomy or cervicotomy could be needed.
Methods: An epidemiological retrospective observational study was performed, and the objective of the investigation was to present a single-center 5-years retrospective analysis of all patients admitted to the emergency department of the hospital Policlinico Umberto I "Sapienza" with a diagnosis of odontogenic related head and neck infection, observing the epidemiological patterns, the management and the type of surgical procedure adopted to treat the affections.

Background And Objective: Reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) simultaneously with medial unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) has been suggested as an alternative treatment in patients with ACL deficiency and localized osteoarthritis (OA) in young patients. The objectives of this review were to report the current concepts on the topic and describe an original surgical technique of simultaneous medial UKA and ACL reconstruction.
Methods: A literature search was performed on PubMed, including articles written in English until June 2021.

Background: The measurement of Fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) may be useful in the diagnosis and management of abnormal phosphate metabolism in both patients with preserved renal function or with chronic kidney disease (CKD). FGF-23 tests differ considerably by molecule assayed (iFGF23 or cFGF23), analytical performance and reference ranges. We establish iFGF23 Upper Reference Limits (URL) in apparently healthy pediatric individuals using automated immunochemiluminescent assay.

The complexity of the use of antimicrobials for dental use (such as antibiotics) is directly related not only to the mode of onset of an oral infection (linked to numerous factors of local causality and comorbidity) but also to the predisposing risk for the general health of the patient with putative serious consequences related to the neck district. The abuse and misuse of antibiotics may lead to resistance to certain bacterial strains. In this regard, the evaluation of the risk/benefit of their use (especially in pregnant women) can be divided into two phases: risk analysis and subsequently risk management for the benefit of the patient for the oral pathology to be prevented or treated, respectively.

The COVID-19 pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 remains a significant issue for global health, the economy, and society. When SARS-CoV-2 began to spread, the most recent serious infectious disease of this century around the world, with its high morbidity and mortality rates, it is understandable why such infections have generally been spread in the past, mainly from international travel movements. This perspective review aimed to provide an update for clinicians on the recent developments related to the microbiological perspectives in pandemics, diagnostics, prevention (such as the spread of a virus), vaccination campaigns, treatment options, and health consequences for COVID-19 based on the current literature.
