Chronic beta-adrenoreceptor (beta-AR) activation increases left ventricular (LV) cavity size by promoting a rightward shift in LV diastolic pressure-volume (P-V) relations in association with increases in low-tensile strength myocardial (non-cross-linked) collagen concentrations.
