Chronobiology investigations have revealed much about cellular and physiological clockworks but we are far from having a complete mechanistic understanding of the physiological and ecological implications. Here we present some unresolved questions in circadian biology research as posed by the editorial staff and guest contributors to the Journal of Circadian Rhythms. This collection of ideas is not meant to be comprehensive but does reveal the breadth of our observations on emerging trends in chronobiology and circadian biology.

Role of chitosan in intestinal integrity: TLR4 and IFNAR signaling in the induction of E-cadherin and CD103 in mice.

Chitin and its derivative chitosan (Q) are abundant structural elements in nature. Q has modulatory and anti-inflammatory effects and also regulates the expression of adhesion molecules. Introduction: Motor compromise characterizes cerebral palsy (CP), and is often associated with intellectual disability (ID). Standardized classification systems have been developed to describe the functions of people with CP. Modern morphometric-based approaches provide valuable metrics to quantify and understand macroevolutionary and macroecological patterns and processes. Here we describe TriloMorph, an openly accessible database for morpho-geometric information of trilobites, together with a landmark acquisition protocol. In addition to morphological traits, the database contains contextual data on chronostratigraphic age, geographic location, taxonomic information and lithology of landmarked specimens.

Introduction: The impact of cerebral palsy (CP) on quality of life requires the incorporation of subjective assessments of health, functional status, and well-being. A specific health-related quality of life (HRQoL) measure for CP is the Australian CP-QOL questionnaire, whose version for caregivers (PCQ) was adapted in Argentina. This study aimed to achieve the final structure and evaluate the reliability and validity of the CP-QOL-PCQ for the Argentine child and adolescent population.

Microplastics distribution in river side bars: The combined effects of water level and wind intensity.

Rivers are the main pathway for microplastics (MP) transport toward the ocean. However, the understanding of the processes involved in the deposition and mobilization of MP in rivers, specifically in sediment side bars (SB), remains very limited. The objectives of this study were: (i) to examine the effect of hydrometric fluctuations and wind intensity on the distribution of microplastics (MP < 5 mm) in the SB of large river (the Paraná River), (ii) to determine the characteristics of MP to infer their origin and fate, and (iii) to discuss potential similarities or differences between MP suspended in the water column and MP found in sediment.

[The role of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in the promotion of childcare in Córdoba city (1877 - 1918): a historical review].

Introduction: Since its foundation, the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM, UNC, Argentina) and its members in the design and implementation of eugenic public policies aimed at preventing depopulation and reducing infant mortality. Introduction: Drug-associated Maxillary Osteonecrosis is one of the most relevant adverse effects in treatment with antiresorptive drugs such as bisphosphonates and denosumab.
