We evaluated whether remotely delivered tailored diabetes education combined with commercial behavioural weight management is cost-effective compared with current standard care in helping people with type 2 diabetes to lower their blood glucose, lose weight, achieve remission and improve cardiovascular risk factors.

The combined effects of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid supplementation and exercise training on body composition and cardiometabolic health in adults: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Introduction: We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to investigate the effects of combining omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 PUFAs) supplementation with exercise training, as compared to exercise training alone, on body composition measures including body weight, body mass index (BMI), fat mass, body fat percentage, and lean body mass. Additionally, we determined the effects on cardiometabolic health outcomes including lipid profiles, blood pressure, glycemic markers, and inflammatory markers.

Method: Three primary electronic databases including PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus were searched from inception to April 5, 2023 to identify original articles comparing n-3 PUFA supplementation plus exercise training versus exercise training alone, that investigated at least one of the following outcomes: fat mass, body fat percentage, lean body mass, triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), systolic (SBP) and diastolic (DBP) blood pressures, fasting glucose and insulin, interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α).

Purpose: To investigate the safety and effectiveness of microwave ablation (MWA) for treating liver tumors using real-world data from a multicenter registry (NOLA: NEUWAVE Observational Liver Ablation).

Materials And Methods: NOLA is approved to enroll up to 1,500 adults treated with MWA and follow them for five years. Initial data for 615 patients treated across 24 tertiary healthcare centers in the United States (14), Europe (8), and Asia (2), from January 2020 to October 2022, are summarized herein.

Infodemics surrounding pandemics and epidemics have persisted for centuries and continue to impede efforts to promote high vaccination coverage. We explored the complex interplay between COVID-19 vaccination attitudes and COVID-19-related infodemics across Germany, Ghana, India, and New Zealand using the novel network analysis. We conducted an online cross-sectional survey and recruited 1822 participants from the general populations of India (n = 411), New Zealand (n = 413), Ghana (n = 523), and Germany (n = 413) to complete COVID-19 infodemic measures and demographics questions.

This prospectively registered PRISMA-ScR-adherent systematic scoping review examines the current state of knowledge surrounding violence amongst MSM in the context of SDU.
