Stratified Treatment in Pediatric Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma: Result of a Prospective Open-Label Multiple-Institution Study.

Purpose: The risk stratification of pediatric anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) has not been standardized. In this study, new risk factors were included to establish a new risk stratification system for ALCL, and its feasibility in clinical practice was explored.

Materials And Methods: On the basis of the non-Hodgkin's lymphoma Berlin-Frankfurt-Munster 95 (NHL-BFM-95) protocol, patients with minimal disseminated disease (MDD), high-risk tumor site (multiple bone, skin, liver, and lung involvement), and small cell/lymphohistiocytic (SC/LH) pathological subtype were enrolled in risk stratification.

Analysis of the Parotid Glands on an Energy Spectrum CT Iodine Map to Evaluate Irradiation-Induced Acute Xerostomia in Patients With Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma.

This prospective study aims to evaluate acute irradiation-induced xerostomia during radiotherapy by utilizing the normalized iodine concentration (NIC) derived from energy spectrum computed tomography (CT) iodine maps. In this prospective study, we evaluated 28 patients diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. At 4 distinct stages of radiotherapy (0, 10, 20, and 30 fractions), each patient underwent CT scans to generate iodine maps.

To understand the current status of diagnosis and treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) /small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) among hematologists, oncologists, and lymphoma physicians from hospitals of different levels in China. This multicenter questionnaire survey was conducted from March 2021 to July 2021 and included 1,000 eligible physicians. A combination of face-to-face interviews and online questionnaire surveys was used.

Red Blood Cell Distribution Width as a Potential Valuable Survival Predictor in Hepatitis B Virus-related Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

Red blood cell distribution width (RDW) is a widely used clinical parameter recently deployed in predicting various cancers. This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of RDW in patients with hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We conducted a retrospective study of 745 patients with HBV-related HCC, 253 patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB), and 256 healthy individuals to compare their hematological parameters and analyze their RDW levels.

Expert consensus proposes an emergency treatment protocol for portal hypertension bleeding. Herein, the emergency treatment procedures, which include first aid, medical, interventional, and surgical treatments, are described. In addition, the indications, contraindications, operating norms, precautions, and prevention of complications of portal hypertension are described to optimize the first aid process.

Methods: Three hundred and twenty-eight maxillary incisors were collected from 82 patients with jaw protrusion deformity treated in Union Hospital of Fujian Medical University from June 2018 to June 2019. 135 incisors were included in the oblique adduction group, and 193 incisors were included in the root control adduction group.

Background: The status of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) is related to the recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), which is also one of the reasons for the poor prognosis of HCC. The purpose of this study was to explore whether CTCs can help guide the choice of treatment methods for HCC.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 37 patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures treated from January 2015 to January 2021, all of whom had spin-derived abdominal pain as the main symptom, and were divided into surgery group(21 cases) and conservative group (16 cases) according to different treatment methods. Patients in the surgery group were treated with percutaneous vertebroplasty, including 7 males and 14 females, with an average age of (75.

Association Among the Gut Microbiome, the Serum Metabolomic Profile and RNA mA Methylation in Sepsis-Associated Encephalopathy.

To investigate the relationship among the gut microbiome, serum metabolomic profile and RNA m6A methylation in patients with sepsis-associated encephalopathy (SAE), 16S rDNA technology, metabolomics and gene expression validation were applied. Serum and feces were collected from patients with and without (SAE group and non-SAE group, respectively, = 20). The expression of serum markers and IL-6 was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and blood clinical indicators were detected using a double antibody sandwich immunochemiluminescence method.

Myosin light chain 9 (MYL9) is a regulatory light chain of myosin, which plays an important role in various biological processes including cell contraction, proliferation and invasion. MYL9 expresses abnormally in several malignancies including lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, malignant melanoma and others, which is closely related to the poor prognosis, but the clinical significance for its expression varies with different types of cancer tissues. Further elucidating the molecular mechanism of MYL9 in various types of malignant tumor metastasis is of great significance for cancer prevention and treatment.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), a worldwide autoimmune disease with high heritability, shows differences in prevalence, severity and age of onset among different ancestral groups. Previous genetic studies have focused more on European populations, which appear to be the least affected. Consequently, the genetic variations that underlie the commonalities, differences and treatment options in SLE among ancestral groups have not been well elucidated.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of oral sitafloxacin versus levofloxacin in Chinese adults with acute uncomplicated urinary tract infection (UTI) or complicated UTI.

Methods: In this randomized, active-controlled clinical trial, the patients with acute uncomplicated UTI were randomized to receive sitafloxacin 100-mg once-daily (qd) or levofloxacin 500-mg qd orally for 3-5 days. The patients with complicated UTI were randomized to receive sitafloxacin 100-mg twice daily or levofloxacin 500-mg qd orally for 10-14 days.

We aimed to investigate the therapeutic potential of Ezetimibe (Eze) in SCI and identify the underlying mechanisms. Acute SCI rat model was established by using the modified weight-drop method.

[The value of cytochrome P4502C19 gene assay for anti-platelet therapy after PCI in stable angina patients with left main coronary artery lesions].

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of different antiplatelet therapies for stable angina patients with complicated left main coronary artery lesions and intermediate metabolizer Cytochrome P450 2C19 gene (CYP2C19) undergoing PCI.

Methods: A total of 247 patients diagnosed with stable angina in cardiology department of Fujian union hospital from February 2015 to February 2017 were retrospectively analyzed, among them, the elective PCI were performed on the left main coronary artery and the CYP2C19 gene poly-morphism were intermediate metabolize, they were divided into ticagrelor treatment group(aspirin combined with ticagrelor, =95)and clopidogrel treatment group(aspirin combined with clopidogrel, =152) according to the different antiplatelet treatment programs. Both groups were given aspirin 300 mg and clopidogrel 300 mg orally before PCI; the ticagrelor group were given the maintenance dose of ticagrelor (90 mg orally, twice a day) after PCI, while those in clopidogrel group were clopidogrel 75 mg orally (once a day) after PCI; both groups were given the maintenance dose of aspirin (100 mg orally, once a day)after PCI.

In the present study, we identified that Rh2 treatment of the thyroid cancer cell line K1 inhibited cell migration and proliferation.

Background: In-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA) may be preventable, with patients often showing signs of physiological deterioration before an event. Our objective was to develop and validate a simple clinical prediction model to identify the IHCA risk among cardiac arrest (CA) patients hospitalized with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).

Hypothesis: A predicting model could help to identify the risk of IHCA among patients admitted with ACS.
