Background: Antibiotics are widely used in dental practice, especially for endodontic infections. The present survey aimed to investigate the knowledge and practices of dental interns in Saudi Arabia regarding antibiotic prescription for endodontic treatment.

Methods: The present online questionnaire-based, cross-sectional study involved dental interns in private and public dental schools, Saudi Arabia.

Among the existing nanoparticle synthesis methodologies, biologically synthesized nanoparticles using phytochemicals have emerged as a straightforward, economical, and environmentally sound strategy.

Synthesis, Characterization, and Antiproliferative Effect of CuO-TiO-Chitosan-Amygdalin Nanocomposites in Human Leukemic MOLT4 Cells.

The main aim of this study was to synthesize copper oxide- (CuO-) titanium oxide- (TiO-) chitosan-amygdalin nanocomposites (CTCANc) and to characterize them physically and biologically (antimicrobial and anticancer activity using MOLT4 blood cancer cell line) to endorse their useful applications as potential drug candidates in anticancer avenues. CuO-TiO-chitosan-amygdalin nanocomposites were synthesized according to standard, reported methods. Physical characterization of the nanocomposites was performed using methods like X-ray diffractometer (XRD), and morphological and ultrastructural analysis of nanocomposites were done using electron microscope scanning and transmission.

In this study, cells from human Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (K562) were cultivated with CuO-TiO-Chitosan-Berbamine nanocomposites. We examined nanocomposites using XRD, DLS, FESEM, TEM, PL, EDAX, and FTIR spectroscopy, as well as MTT for cytotoxicity, and AO/EtBr for apoptotic morphology assessment. The rate of apoptosis and cell cycle arrests was determined using flow cytometry.

Acquired Dermal Macular Hyperpigmentation Mimicking Dowling Degos Disease: A Case Report.

Acquired dermal macular hyperpigmentation (ADMH) is a recently coined term to encompass lichen planus pigmentosus (LPP), erythema dyschromicum perstans (EDP), and Riehl's melanosis. Here we report a 60 -year- old female, with an insignificant past medical history, who presented to the dermatology clinic, with slightly itchy skin lesions on her body. The lesions were slowly increasing in number over the last 10 years.

Restless Legs Syndrome and the Use of Antipsychotic Medication: An Updated Literature Review.

Restless legs syndrome or Willis-Ekbom disease (RLS/WED) is a sleep-related movement disorder characterized by an urge to move the legs. This impulse is usually accompanied by an uncomfortable and unpleasant sensation in the legs, which worsens at night and during periods of inactivity and is relieved by movement. Socioeconomic and Behavioral Disparities Among Diabetics in Saudi Arabia: A Nation-Wide Descriptive Study.

Purpose: This study aims to explore sociodemographic, behavioral and clinical factors in adult participants with Diabetes in Saudi Arabia.

Methods: A population-based cross-sectional study of 20492 potential participants conducted in quarters 1 and 2 in 2021 from all 13 administrative regions of Saudi Arabia. A backward maximum likelihood logistic regression model, including all variables, was used to identify variables associated with participants living with Diabetes.

Introduction: Neurokinin-1 receptor (NK-1R) induces inflammatory reactions in peripheral tissues but its regulatory effects in target tissues is dependent on receptor signalling. Substance P (SP) has a high affinity for the NK-1R, to which it binds preferentially. Chronic Infection with Hidden Malignancy Mimicking the Clinical Presentation of an Autoimmune Disease.

Here, paired tumor and adjacent normal tissues from thirty-seven oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) patients were subjected to 16S rRNA gene sequencing and whole exome sequencing (WES), in addition to RNA sequencing for tumor samples. We observed that Fusobacterium was significantly enriched in oral tongue cancer and that Rothia and Streptococcus were enriched in adjacent normal tissues.
