Plant growth-promoting endophytic bacteria (PGPEB), producing auxins, are offered for a promising eco-friendly crop production. Precise bacterial strain selection is essential to ensure consistent and effective plant growth and resilience. Creating a model for the optimal dose-dependent interactions between PGPEB and hosts is necessary for understanding the mechanisms of high-precision selection of the inoculant composition to enhance bacterial preparations' efficacy.

According to four field experiments, after the inoculation of L. cultivar Ufimskaya with the commercial strain 26D and the promising strain 10-4, it was found that inoculation with 10-4 improved seed productivity (SP) by 31-41% per plant, but only in dry years. In contrast, all 4 years of inoculation with 26D were ineffective or neutral.

New binuclear copper(II) [Cu(II)] tetraligand complexes (six examples) with sulfanylpyrazole ligands were synthesized. Electron spin resonance (ESR) studies have shown that in solution the complexes are transformed to the mononuclear one. Fungicidal properties against Candida albicans were found for the Cu complexes with benzyl and phenyl substituents.

The Oirats are a group of Mongolian-speaking peoples residing in Russia, China, and Mongolia, who speak Oirat dialects of the Mongolian language. Migrations of nomadic ethnopolitical formations of the Oirats across the Eurasian Steppe during the Late Middle Ages/early Modern times resulted in a wide geographic spread of Oirat ethnic groups from present-day northwestern China in East Asia to the Lower Volga region in Eastern Europe. In this study, we generate new genome-wide and mitochondrial DNA data for present-day Oirat-speaking populations from Kalmykia in Eastern Europe, Western Mongolia, and the Xinjiang region of China, as well as Issyk-Kul Sart-Kalmaks from Central Asia, and historically related ethnic groups from Altai, Tuva, and Northern Mongolia to study the genetic structure and history of the Oirats.

The most important area of modern pharmacology is the targeted delivery of drugs, and one of the most promising classes of chemical compounds for creating drugs of this kind are the photochromic spiropyrans, capable of light-controlled biological activity. This work is devoted to the synthesis and study of the photochromic properties of new triphenylphosphonium salts of spiropyrans. It was found that all the synthesized cationic spiropyrans have high photosensitivity, increased resistance to photodegradation and the ability for photoluminescence.

Background: Investigations that are focused on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF) biodiversity is still limited. The analysis of the AMF taxa in the North Caucasus, a temperate biodiversity hotspot, used to be limited to the genus level. This study aimed to define the AMF biodiversity at the species level in the North Caucasus biotopes.

The modification of nitrogen (N) metabolism can affect the hormonal content, but in transgenic plants, this aspect has not been sufficiently studied. Transgenic birch () plants with the pine glutamine synthetase gene were evaluated for hormone levels during rooting in vitro and budburst under outdoor conditions.

Introduction: Renal cancer ranks 10 in the mortality structure of the Russian Federation. The introduction of checkpoint inhibitors has changed the paradigm of treatment of patients with malignant neoplasms.
Method: Data from clinical trials have shown good progression-free median and median overall survival.
Colloidal suspensions of EuCl, EuBr, and EuSO nanoparticles (<50 nm) in dodecane and EuSO in 70% HSO were synthesized. Moving single-bubble sonoluminescence (m-SBSL) spectra were obtained for a bubble performing radial oscillations in these suspensions and translational motions at the antinode of a standing ultrasonic wave with a frequency of about 27 kHz. In these spectra (at a spectral resolution of 10 nm), the sono-excited luminescence bands of the Eu ion were detected for the first time, coinciding in the shape and position of the maxima (404, 413, and 377 nm for EuCl, EuBr, and EuSO, respectively) with the bands of Eu located in a crystalline environment in the photoluminescence spectra of nanoparticles of europium salts in suspensions.

Discovery of molecular mechanisms of primary osteoporosis development is fundamental to understand the pathogenesis of musculoskeletal diseases in general and for identifying key links in the genetic and epigenetic regulation of bone remodelling genes. The number of identified molecular genetic markers for osteoporosis is increasing but there is a need to describe their functional interactions. These interactions have been determined to be associated with the control of expression of a number of transcription factors and the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells through the pathway of osteoblastogenesis or adipogenesis, and monocytic precursors through the pathway of osteoclastogenesis.

It is known that zinc biodegradable alloys are a promising material for producing biomedical implants for orthopedics and vascular stents. Among them, the Zn-Ag-Cu zinc alloy is of special interest due to the antibacterial and antimicrobial properties of Ag and Cu. To improve the mechanical properties of the Zn-4Ag-1Cu zinc alloy, the effect of equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) on the microstructure and strength has been investigated.

Silicone implants are widely used for plastic or reconstruction medical applications. However, they can cause severe infections of inner tissues due to bacterial adhesion and biofilm growth on implant surfaces. The development of new antibacterial nanostructured surfaces can be considered as the most promising strategy to deal with this problem.

Using reaction model systems (nitroso oxide ArNOO, Ar = MeNCH or ONCH; exhaustive set of methyl- and cyano-substituted ethylenes), a detailed study of the reaction mechanism of ArNOO with unsaturated compounds was carried out using the density functional theory (M06L/6311 + G(d,p)). The reaction is preceded by the formation of a reagent complex of stacking type, which is favorable for further transformation. Depending on the structure of alkene, the reaction may proceed two extreme mechanisms: synchronous (3 + 2)-cycloaddition (the most typical case) or one-center nucleophilic attack of the terminal oxygen atom of ArNOO on the less substituted carbon atom of the double bond.

New salts of photochromic indoline spiropyrans capable of reversibly responding to UV radiation were synthesized to develop light-controlled materials. Photoinduced reactions of the synthesized compounds were studied using absorption and luminescence spectroscopies, and the quantum yields of photoisomerization and other spectral and kinetic characteristics were measured. It was shown that the light sensitivity and photostability of the synthesized compounds are considerably influenced by the length of the spacer between the indole and ammonium nitrogen atoms.
