Victims of stalking use multiple help-seeking behaviors including reporting their experiences to the police, obtaining a restraining order, blocking communication, and relying on informal social networks like friends, family, or therapists. The goal of this study is to, first, identify distinct subgroups of stalking victims based on their help-seeking behaviors. Next, we identify the direct effect of sex, victim-offender relationship, and offense severity on class membership.

Glucose monitoring is prerequisite to all other diabetes self-care behaviors and helps patients to reduce their risk for diabetes-related complications due to elevated glycemia. Because of the amount of information available and the ability to deliver glucose results in real-time, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) has the ability to improve on self-monitoring blood glucose. However, epidemiologic data demonstrate slow uptake of CGM by patients, especially among youth.

Aims: In the dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) study, continued thienopyridine beyond 12 months after drug-eluting stent placement was associated with increased mortality compared with placebo. We sought to evaluate factors related to mortality in randomized patients receiving either drug-eluting or bare metal stents in the DAPT study.
Methods And Results: Patients were enrolled after coronary stenting, given thienopyridine and aspirin for 12 months, randomly assigned to continued thienopyridine or placebo for an additional 18 months (while taking aspirin), and subsequently treated with aspirin alone for another 3 months.

Drosophila DBT and vertebrate CKIε/δ phosphorylate the period protein (PER) to produce circadian rhythms. While the C termini of these orthologs are not conserved in amino acid sequence, they inhibit activity and become autophosphorylated in the fly and vertebrate kinases. Here, sites of C-terminal autophosphorylation were identified by mass spectrometry and analysis of DBT truncations.

Objective: To examine whether prospective bleeding risk estimates for patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention could improve the use of bleeding avoidance strategies and reduce bleeding.
Design: Prospective cohort study comparing the use of bleeding avoidance strategies and bleeding rates before and after implementation of prospective risk stratification for peri-procedural bleeding.
Setting: Nine hospitals in the United States.

Background: Prior studies have demonstrated that patients with high-risk acute myocardial infarction (AMI) are less likely to receive guideline-directed medications during hospitalisation. It is unknown if this paradox persists following discharge. We aimed to assess if persistence with guideline-directed medications post discharge varies by patients' risk following AMI.

The Alere i Influenza A&B assay is a newly developed rapid molecular assay which has the potential to generate results within 15 min from sample collection. In this study, we evaluated the Alere i Influenza A&B assay by using salvaged frozen respiratory specimens that were collected in viral transport medium from children ages 10 months to 19 years. Alere i Influenza A&B assay test results were compared with viral culture and ProFlu(+) real-time reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR) assay results.

Objectives: To assess the perceptions of patients with stable coronary artery disease of the urgency and benefits of elective percutaneous coronary intervention and to examine how they vary across centers and by providers.
Design: Cross sectional study.
Setting: 10 US academic and community hospitals performing percutaneous coronary interventions between 2009 and 2011.

Aims: While patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) have more extensive coronary disease and worse survival after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) than patients without DM, data on whether they experience more angina are conflicting.
Methods: We examined angina prevalence over the year following AMI among 3367 patients, including 1080 (32%) with DM, from 24 US hospitals enrolled in the TRIUMPH registry from 2005 to 2008.
Results: Patients with vs.

Background: Although there is a growing understanding of the consequences of concussions in hockey, very little is known about the precipitating factors associated with this type of injury.
Aim: To describe player characteristics and situational factors associated with concussions in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Methods: Case series of medically diagnosed concussions for regular season games over a 3.
