Conceptual frameworks in health care do not address mechanisms whereby teamwork processes affect quality of care. We seek to fill this gap by applying a framework of teamwork processes to compare different patterns of primary care performance over time. We thematically analyzed 114 primary care staff interviews across 17 primary care clinics.

Aims: In the dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) study, continued thienopyridine beyond 12 months after drug-eluting stent placement was associated with increased mortality compared with placebo. We sought to evaluate factors related to mortality in randomized patients receiving either drug-eluting or bare metal stents in the DAPT study.
Methods And Results: Patients were enrolled after coronary stenting, given thienopyridine and aspirin for 12 months, randomly assigned to continued thienopyridine or placebo for an additional 18 months (while taking aspirin), and subsequently treated with aspirin alone for another 3 months.

Objectives: Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) are at high risk of death or myocardial infarction (MI) after percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). We assessed whether prolonged dual antiplatelet therapy beyond the recommended 12 months may prevent adverse outcomes in patients with CKD receiving drug-eluting stents (DES) or bare-metal stents (BMS).
Methods: We studied all Veterans receiving PCI with BMS or first-generation DES in the Veterans Affairs (VA) Healthcare System between 2002 and 2006, classified by CKD (estimated glomerular filtration rate <60 mL/min) or normal renal function.

Diagnosing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) requires reports of child behavior from 2 settings-most commonly home and school. Obtaining this information from teachers, however, is often challenging. We sought to determine if clinical data, supplementary to parent symptom scales, could be useful in predicting DSM-compliant diagnoses.

Objective: Analysis sought to determine whether Wechsler Memory Scale-Logical Memory (LM)-correct responses and errors were related to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain volume measurements.
Methods: The LM immediate (LM-I) and LM delay (LM-D) free recall correct responses and related and unrelated errors were scored. Principal components analysis yielded a 3-factor solution: LM-I and LM-D correct responses, LM-I and LM-D-unrelated errors, and LM-I/-D-related errors.
