Purpose: Navigation and robotic systems aim to improve the accuracy and efficiency of percutaneous image-guided interventions, but the evaluation of their autonomy and integration of advanced imaging and artificial intelligence (AI) is lacking. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of automation and integration of advanced imaging and artificial intelligence in navigation and robotic systems for percutaneous image-guided interventions, using established and novel metrics to categorize and compare their capabilities.
Materials And Methods: Following PRISMA guidelines, a systematic review was conducted to identify studies on clinically validated navigation and robotic systems published between 2000 and May 2024.

Sex differences in immune system aging significantly impact disease susceptibility and vaccine responses among older adults, but with notable disparities between men and women. This area has gained importance because vaccines can exhibit differential efficacy by sex in aging populations, underscoring the need for sex-specific strategies. As the global population ages, understanding these sex-based immune differences is crucial for developing targeted interventions for age-related diseases.

RNA interference (RNAi) is a biological process in which RNA molecules are involved in sequence-specific suppression of gene expression, via small RNA triggers derived from double-stranded RNA that can target specific genes; it is a natural process that plays a role in both the regulation of protein synthesis and in immunity. Discovery of RNAi by Fire and Mello in 1998 had a profound impact on unraveling novel aspects of eukaryotic biology. RNA interference (RNAi) has proven to be an immensely useful tool for studying gene function and validation of potential drug targets in almost all organisms.

Background: The contact aspiration (CA) technique is often used to perform endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for acute ischemic stroke (AIS); however, rescue strategies are necessary if CA fails to achieve recanalization. This study investigates the outcomes of incorporating stent retriever (SR) thrombectomy in the rescue strategy following failed CA.
Methods: EVT patients with failed CA attempts were identified from a large multicenter registry and stratified by rescue technique: CA alone or incorporating SR in the rescue strategy.
Background: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a highly lethal cancer with a 5-year survival rate of 12%. It has two major molecular subtypes: classical and basal, regulated by the master transcription factors (MTFs) GATA6 and ΔNp63, respectively.
Objective: This study sought to uncover the transcriptional regulatory mechanisms controlling PDAC subtype identity.

The circulatory and lymphatic systems play vital roles at the capillary level and throughout our bodies. Venous disease can lead to water-rich edema which this fluid is removed by an intact lymphatic system. However, if the lymphatic system is constantly tasked with removing edema, it can becomes damaged over time.

Chronic wounds are a significant global health issue, yet they are not adequately addressed in nursing education. This lack of focus results in nursing students graduating with insufficient knowledge in chronic wound care, leading to inadequate clinical practice. Consequently, nurses often struggle to manage wounds effectively, which negatively impacts patient care quality.

The Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) nurses undertake critical duties after an earthquake. These tasks include emergency triage and treatment, prevention and management of infection, prevention of organ loss, psychological support to the injured, and close cooperation and support with other health care professionals. Although WOC nurses have received advanced training in wound management in the basic training and certified training programs they receive, wound management in earthquake conditions is not a part of their training.

Tropical diseases are no longer restricted to the tropics, and we have seen an emergency for many diseases in the United States. Increasing migration, international travel, tourism, and work visits to the tropical regions have contributed to the increase. Climate change and global warming may be causing tropical diseases and vectors to spread to areas previously spared.

Background: The role of epigenetic aging in the environmental pathogenesis and prognosis of fibrotic interstitial lung disease (fILD) is unclear. We evaluated whether ambient particulate matter ≤2.5 μm (PM) and neighbourhood disadvantage exposures are associated with accelerated epigenetic aging, and whether epigenetic age is associated with adverse clinical outcomes in patients with fILD.
