Real-time functional magnetic resonance imaging neurofeedback (rtfMRI-NF) shows promise as a treatment for this disorder, although its mechanisms of action remain unclear. This study investigated whole-brain response patterns during rtfMRI-NF training to explain interindividual variability in clinical efficacy in MDD.

In silico trials for drug safety assessment require many high-fidelity 3D cardiac simulations to predict drug-induced QT interval prolongation, which is often computationally prohibitive. To streamline this process, we developed sex-specific emulators for a fast prediction of QT interval, trained on a dataset of 900 simulations. Our results show significant differences between 3D and 0D single-cell models as risk levels increase, underscoring the ability of 3D modeling to capture more complex cardiac responses.

To investigate fibrin accumulation on flow diverters placed across the neck of cerebral aneurysms, a previously developed computational model that couples flow and fibrin dynamics is used in combination with experimental in vitro models of cerebral aneurysms treated with flow diverters.

Methods: We retrospectively evaluated the impact of a computerized clinical decision support tool to promote institutional appropriateness criteria (neutropenia, kidney transplant, recent urologic surgery, or radiologic evidence of urinary tract obstruction) for urine cultures from patients with an indwelling urinary catheter. The primary outcome was a change in catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) rate from baseline (34 mo) to intervention period (30 mo, including a 2-mo wash-in period).

We found that different sinusitis ICD-10 definitions impacted antibiotic prescribing rates (APRs). Chronic sinusitis ICD-10s dilute overall sinusitis APR, particularly in primary care settings and should be examined separately.

Background: Pediatric kidney transplant recipients experience creeping creatinine, which is a slow increase in serum creatinine over time. Distinguishing between normal growth-related changes and possible allograft dysfunction becomes challenging when interpreting the increase in serum creatinine. We hypothesized that changes in BSA-indexed measured glomerular filtration rate (mGFR) or creatinine-estimated GFR (eGFR) might not be a true reflection of the renal function post-transplant and that for longitudinal follow-up a stable absolute mGFR is better.

Objective: The objective of this study was to examine weight reduction and adverse events associated with use of antiobesity medications (AOMs) in older adults ages ≥65 years.

Methods: Seven databases were searched for studies evaluating weight reduction of Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved AOMs. Studies had to include adults ages ≥65 years with obesity (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m or ≥27 kg/m with one weight-related condition), with independent analysis of weight reduction for adults ages ≥65 years.

Methods: We employed a three-round modified Delphi approach consulting multidisciplinary paediatric pain providers (n=18) including physicians, psychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and nurse practitioners (PT, OT, NP). Based on the responses to an online survey (Round 1), initial statements regarding the pain psychology referral process were developed.
