The pedagogy of the field is the narrative medicine workshop, which mobilizes close-reading of works of art and reflective writing to improve our understanding of Self and Other.

Purpose: Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) arises from the epithelial cells of the bile ducts present inside the liver parenchyma and is associated with an overall poor prognosis due to advanced disease stage at the time of diagnosis. We used the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Wide-Ranging Online Data for Epidemiologic Research (CDC WONDER) database to determine ICC-related mortality patterns in the United States from 1999 till 2020.

EValuating Glucose ContrOL Using a Next-GeneraTION Automated Insulin Delivery Algorithm in Patients with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes: The EVOLUTION Study.

This study evaluated a next-generation automated insulin delivery (AID) algorithm for Omnipod in type 1 and type 2 diabetes across multiple phases: 14-day run-in with usual therapy, 48-h AID use in a hotel setting (type 1 only), and up to 6 weeks of outpatient AID use. Participants did, or did not, deliver manual boluses at alternating periods. Twelve adults with type 1 diabetes completed the hotel phase; 9 of those 12 plus 8 adults with type 2 diabetes completed the subsequent outpatient phase.

Caregivers of children with asthma can become overwhelmed by the burden of care provision. Guided by the socioecological framework, we examined individual and system-level factors associated with caregiver health-related quality of life (HRQoL) among preschool children (aged two to six years) enrolled in a multilevel home- and school-based asthma educational intervention in Baltimore, Maryland. Primary outcome was caregiver HRQoL measured at baseline and six months.

Potentially toxic elements (PTEs) and naturally occurring radionuclides materials (NORMs) were assessed from soil samples collected from ten quarry sites in three districts (Odeda, Ajebo, and Ijebu Ode) in Ogun State.
