Background: To describe a large cohort of women with non-puerperal inflammatory breast and to identify characteristics of inflammatory breast cancer.
Methods: All patients consulting for inflammatory breast syndrome in the breast unit of our tertiary University hospital between September 2013 and December 2015 were prospectively included. We excluded women who were pregnant or in the postpartum period.

Urine dipsticks have to be used more frequently for the screening of urinary tract infections (UTI) in febrile infants and children (grade A). Confirmation of the UTI by urine culture should prefer other methods of sampling than the urine bag: sampling jet, urethral catheterization, or pubic puncture (grade A). The percentage of Escherichia coli producing extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBL) in children accounts for less than 10 % in France and does not justify revising the 2007 recommendations (grade B).

The group A streptococcus (GAS) is the 5(th) responsible pathogen of invasive infections in children in France. These particularly severe diseases are dominated in children by soft tissue infection, isolated bacteremia but also osteoarthritis. Other complications are rare in France such as lung infections, necrotizing fasciitis (NF) and streptococcal toxic shock syndrome (STSS).

Objective: DNA repair mechanisms, environment-mediated drug resistance and cancer initiating cells (CIC) are three major research concepts that can explain the chemoresistance of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). The objective was to test if changes in the expression of potential markers associated with drug resistance before and after chemotherapy would correlate with platinum resistance, defined as a recurrence within the first year after chemotherapy cessation, and with survival, in advanced EOC.
Methods: We included 32 patients with stage IIIC-IV EOC who underwent laparoscopy to evaluate the extent of carcinomatosis, neoadjuvant chemotherapy (carboplatin/taxol) and interval surgery.

Germinal activating mutations of FGFR3 are responsible for several forms of dwarfism due to the inhibitory effect of FGFR3 on bone growth. Surprisingly, identical somatic activating mutations have been found at the somatic level in tumours: at high frequency in benign epithelial tumours (seborrheic keratosis, urothelial papilloma) and in low-grade, low-stage urothelial carcinomas, and at a lower frequency in other types of urothelial carcinoma, in cervix carcinoma, and in haematological cancer, multiple myeloma. FGFR3 exists as two isoforms, FGFR3b and FGFR3c, differs in ligand specificity and tissue expression.

Objective: To investigate the efficiency of endovascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) seeding in promoting healing and stability in already-developed aneurysms obtained by matrix metalloproteases (MMPs)-driven injury.
Summary Background Data: VSMCs are instrumental in arterial healing after injury and are in decreased number in arterial aneurysms. This cellular deficiency may account for poor healing capabilities and ongoing expansion of aneurysms.

Chiral chromatographic supports were obtained by continuously applying solutions contained HSA to ion-exchange columns. The columns were packed with silica modified with polyvinylimidazole and a copolymer polyvinylpyrrolidone-polyvinylimidazole (75:25) respectively, quaternized and crosslinked. Small changes in the concentration of NaCl during immobilization of HSA lead to variations in the amount of HSA bound to the supports.

Human serum albumin (HSA) was bound to porous silica, using a reactive polymer derived from polymethacryloyl chloride. Two different procedures were used for coating silica with the polymer. In the first method, the polymer was deposited onto amino-silica by reaction between its reactive functions and NH2 groups on silica.
