The aim of this study is to examine the effect of green investments on air quality for developed and developing European countries. In this context, the short- and long-term effects of green investments on air quality were examined by panel generalized method of moments (GMM) and panel causality method. As a result of the GMM analysis, it has been determined that green investments negatively affect the air quality for both developed European countries and developing European countries in the short term, but this effect turns positive in developed countries in the long term.

Blockchain has become a well-known, secured, decentralized datastore in many domains, including medical, industrial, and especially the financial field. However, to meet the requirements of different fields, platforms that are built on blockchain technology must provide functions and characteristics with a wide variety of options. Although they may share similar technology at the fundamental level, the differences among them make data or transaction exchange challenging.

Diagnostic approaches for dengue infection.

Expert Rev Mol Diagn

October 2023

Faculty of Applied Sciences, UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Introduction: Every year, a significant rise in dengue incidence observed is responsible for 10% of fever episodes in children and adolescents in endemic countries. Considering that the symptoms of dengue are similar to those of many other viruses, early diagnosis of the disease has long been difficult, and lack of sensitive diagnostic tools may be another factor contributing to a rise in dengue incidence.

Areas Covered: This review will highlight dengue diagnostics strategies and discuss other possible targets for dengue diagnosis.

Maternal melatonin levels and temporal dietary intake: results from MY-CARE cohort study.

BMC Pregnancy Childbirth

July 2023

Department of Electrical Engineering and Biosciences, School of Advanced Engineering and Sciences, Waseda University, Waseda, Japan.

Chrononutrition emerges as a novel approach to promote circadian alignment and metabolic health by means of time-of-the-day dietary intake. However, the relationship between maternal circadian rhythm and temporal dietary intake during pregnancy remains understudied. This study aimed to determine the change in melatonin levels in pregnant women across gestation and its association with temporal energy and macronutrient intake.

The Effect of Omega-3 Fatty Acids on Insulin Resistance.

Life (Basel)

June 2023

Karnavati School of Dentistry, Karnavati University, A/907, Adalaj-Uvarsad Rd, Gandhinagar 382422, India.

Insulin resistance is a critical pathophysiological process in the onset and advancement of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is well-recognized that alterations in the metabolism of lipids and aberrant fat buildup effectively trigger the development of resistance to insulin. Adjusting one's eating habits and managing weight appropriately are crucial for treating, controlling, and reducing the risk of T2DM because obesity and a lack of physical exercise are the primary factors responsible for the worldwide rise in T2DM.

Symmetry-Driven Assembly of a Penta-Shell Keplerate Cuprofullerene for Metallofullerene Frameworks.

Angew Chem Int Ed Engl

August 2023

College of Chemistry and Materials Science and Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Functional Supramolecular Coordination Materials and Applications, Jinan University, Guangzhou, 510632, P. R. China.

Two metallofullerene frameworks (MFFs) constructed from a penta-shell Keplerate cuprofullerene chloride, C @Cu @Cl @Cu @Cl , have been successfully prepared via a C -templated symmetry-driven strategy. The icosahedral cuprofullerene chloride is assembled on a C molecule through [η -(C=C)]-Cu and Cu -Cl coordination bonds, resulting in the penta-shell Keplerate with the C core canopied by 24 Cu, 44 Cl, 12 Cu and 12 Cl atoms that fulfill the tic@rco@oae@ico@ico penta-shell polyhedral configuration. By sharing the outmost-shell Cl atoms, the cuprofullerene chlorides are connected into 2D or 3D (snf net) frameworks.

The spherical fuzzy set (SFS) model is one of the newly developed extensions of fuzzy sets (FS) for the purpose of dealing with uncertainty or vagueness in decision making. The aim of this paper is to define new exponential and Einstein exponential operational laws for spherical fuzzy sets and their corresponding aggregation operators. We introduce the operational laws for exponential and Einstein exponential SFSs in which the base values are crisp numbers and the exponents (weights) are spherical fuzzy numbers.
