Are ultrasound salivary parenchymal lesions more severe in primary Sjögren patients with a longer disease duration? A cross-sectional study.

Objectives: Salivary gland ultrasound (SGUS) has an interest in primary Sjögren's disease (pSD) for diagnosis, but the evolution of parenchymal lesions over time is unknown. The objective of this study was to assess the severity of ultrasound abnormalities in relation to pSD duration from the time of buccal dryness onset.

Methods: In this cross-sectional international multicentre study, patients with pSD according to the 2002 or 2016 ACR/EULAR classification criteria were included.

Temporal trends in muscular fitness among French children and adolescents between 1999 and 2023.

The aim was to estimate national temporal trends in muscular fitness for French youth between 1999 and 2023. Data were obtained from five cross-sectional studies on 53,314 children and adolescents (age range: 6-16 years). Lower- and upper-body strength were assessed by standing broad jump (SBJ) and handgrip strength (HGS).

Introduction: Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) are chronic immune driven intestinal disorders with marked metabolic alteration. Mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) enables the direct visualization of biomolecules within tissues and facilitates the study of metabolic changes. Integrating multiple spatial information sources is a promising approach for discovering new biomarkers and understanding biochemical alteration within the context of the disease.

Responders to biologics in severe uncontrolled chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps: a multicentric observational real-life study.

Background: Clinical trials have demonstrated the effectiveness of biologics in treating chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). However, real-world evidence regarding patient outcomes and predictors of clinical response remains limited.

Methodology: In this multicentric 18-month follow-up study, 326 adult patients who initiated biologic therapy for severe uncontrolled CRSwNP were included.

Age- and sex-specific reference percentile curves for accelerometry-measured physical activity in healthy European children and adolescents.

Unlabelled: Physical activity measured by accelerometry (PA-accelerometry) is used as an indicator of physical capacity in chronic diseases. Currently, only fragmented age ranges of reference percentile curves are available for European children and adolescents. This study aimed to provide age- and sex-specific percentiles for physical activity measured by hip-worn accelerometry derived throughout the full age range of European children and adolescents.

Use of two general-purpose scales to assess clinical pharmacy activities in a cell transplantation unit.

Introduction: The general-purpose rating scales used by clinical pharmacists to rate their activities have not been extensively studied in specialist care units. This study aims to describe drug-related problems (DRPs) and pharmacist interventions (PIs) in a French hematopoietic cell therapy (HCT) unit and to evaluate the PIs' likely clinical, economic, and organizational impacts.

Methods: We retrospectively assessed all DRPs reported and all PIs issued between December 2018 and December 2021.

Background & Aims: Breast cancer is the most common malignancy observed in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). The aim of our study was to evaluate incident cancer rate (recurrence or new-onset cancer) in a cohort of patients with IBD with a history of breast cancer according to the subsequent IBD treatment provided.

Methods: A multicenter retrospective study included consecutive patients with IBD with prior breast cancer.

Incidence, prevalence and clinical presentation of inflammatory bowel diseases in Northern France: a 30-year population-based study.

Background: In industrialized countries, the incidence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) appears stabilized. This study examined the incidence and phenotype of IBD in Northern France over a 30-year period.

Methods: Including all IBD patients recorded in the EPIMAD population-based registry from 1988 to 2017 in Northern France, we described the incidence and clinical presentation of IBD according to age, sex and time.

Efficacy of vedolizumab and ustekinumab in pediatric-onset inflammatory bowel disease: A real-world multicenter study.

Objectives: Vedolizumab and ustekinumab are effective in inducing and maintaining corticosteroid-free clinical remission (CFR) in adult patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This study describes the efficacy and safety of vedolizumab and ustekinumab in pediatric IBD.

Methods: All patients ≤18 years of age with Crohn's disease (CD) or ulcerative colitis (UC) treated with vedolizumab or ustekinumab in three centers in Northern France were followed retrospectively.

Chitin-glucan (CG) is a new generation of prebiotic. NCFM (NCFM) is a probiotic with the ability to decrease abdominal pain. We evaluate the functional and molecular gastrointestinal responses to a synbiotic administration combining CG and NCFM in a rat model of long-lasting colon hypersensitivity.

Analysis of Unfolded Protein Response Activation in Colon Adenocarcinoma Epithelial Cells: A Proteomic Study.

Purpose: High throughput technologies have identified molecular patterns in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells, aiding in modeling responses to anti-cancer treatments. The different responses observed depend on the type of cancer, the tumour grade and the functional programme of the cancer cells. Recent studies suggest that the unfolded protein response (UPR), autophagy and apoptosis could be involved in treatment resistance mechanisms by interacting with the tumour microenvironment (TME).

Objective: Describe the demographic data and clinical phenotype of cranial palsy induced by immune checkpoint inhibitors (CNP-ICI).

Methods: A systematic literature review of the literature was performed in Pubmed, Web of Science, and Embase, including 68 articles and 136 patients (PROSPERO no. CRD42024517262).

Characteristics and impact of infiltration of B-cells from systemic sclerosis patients in a 3D healthy skin model.

Introduction: In systemic sclerosis (SSc), B-cells are activated and present in the skin and lung of patients where they can interact with fibroblasts. The precise impact and mechanisms of the interaction of B-cells and fibroblasts at the tissular level are poorly studied.

Objective: We investigated the impact and mechanisms of B-cell/fibroblast interactions in cocultures between B-cells from patients with SSc and 3-dimensional reconstituted healthy skin model including fibroblasts, keratinocytes and extracellular matrix.
