Our study assessed the phytochemical composition and the effects of Salvia balansae flower aqueous extract (FAE) on sexual dysfunction in diabetic rats. Total phenolic and flavonoid content, quantification of phytochemicals by UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS method and in vitro antioxidant capacity of FAE extract were elucidated. For the in vivo study, diabetes was induced by one intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ) (40 mg/kg), and treated diabetic rats were given FAE at 200 mg/kg.

Introduction: Sexual health, pleasure, justice (equity in sexual rights and experiences), and well-being are crucial determinants of health and life quality, yet often overlooked in the rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMD) field. However, this topic has received more attention recently, and there is a need to map the current literature to inform the direction of future studies. Hence, this protocol outlines a scoping review to systematically map existing evidence on sexual health in people with RMD, exploring key themes and identifying evidence gaps across multiple dimensions, including sexual well-being, justice and pleasure.

Purpose: Hip fractures in elderly individuals are associated with high mortality rates, even with advanced treatment options. Identifying factors correlated with mortality could guide potential preventive strategies. Elevated aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels, as well as the AST/ALT ratio (AAR), have been associated with mortality in various diseases, but their association with hip fracture mortality remains underexplored.

A simple and inexpensive process from natural phosphate in the presence of Ag ions was used to develop AgO-loaded hydroxyapatite nanocomposites. The structural and textural characterization of the nanocomposites suggests that the AgO nanoparticles are well dispersed on the hydroxyapatite (HAp). The prepared nanocomposites show efficient Rhodamine B (RhB) dye photocatalytic degradation in water under visible and UV-visible light irradiation.
