Aims And Objectives: Appropriately timed cessation of systemic anticancer treatments is an important part of a patient's quality of life (QoL). We aimed to determine the right time to discontinue systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) and switch to the best supportive care for patients with advanced breast cancer (BC) who are nearing the end of life.

Methods: We identified 200 BC patients who died within 30 days after palliative SACT.

Transcription, a crucial step in the regulation of gene expression, is tightly controlled and involves several essential processes, such as chromatin organization, recognition of the specific genomic sequences, DNA binding, and ultimately recruiting the transcriptional machinery to facilitate transcript synthesis. At the center of this regulation are transcription factors (TFs), which comprise at least one DNA-binding domain (DBD) and an effector domain (ED). Although the structure and function of DBDs have been well studied, our knowledge of the structure and function of effector domains is limited.

Background: Encapsulation technology has been extensively employed in recent years to enhance the efficacy and efficiency of probiotics. Nevertheless, existing studies have primarily concentrated on product efficacy, with inadequate scrutiny concerning potential effects on living organisms. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of various encapsulated probiotic strains on inflammatory responses in healthy mice, alongside their in vitro viability.

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), or acne inversa, is a chronic inflammatory skin condition primarily affecting skin folds such as the axilla, groins, and the inframammary, perineal, and perianal regions. It is characterized by painful abscesses, sinus tracts, and scarring. Predominantly affecting young adults, particularly females, HS often emerges during reproductive age, and flares are widely reported during pregnancy and postpartum, underscoring the need to consider management strategies tailored to pregnant or lactating individuals.

Abundant evidence indicates that skeletal muscle plays a key role in regulating metabolic homeostasis. Therefore, maintaining healthy skeletal muscles is essential to good health. While prolonged muscle inactivity is known to cause oxidative stress and muscle loss, it remains unclear whether a shift from an active to a sedentary lifestyle induces similar effects.

Aagenaes syndrome, also known as lymphoedema cholestasis syndrome 1 (LCS1), is a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by neonatal cholestasis and chronic lymphedema, primarily affecting the lower extremities. The genetic basis for this syndrome was recently linked to a variant in the 5'-untranslated region (5'-UTR) of the UNC45A gene, located on chromosome 15q. This study aimed to identify the genetic mutations associated with Aagenaes syndrome in two siblings and to explore their clinical implications.
