Health service policies are evolving into qualified health care providing best possible outcomes as well as focused on patient satisfaction. Hence the qualification valued health care includes patient satisfaction measurements, it is suggested to get feedbacks during the assessment of outcomes from the patient's perspective. Aging of the world population accelerates demand on rehabilitation medicine which means recovering impairments so is directly related with quality of life.

Background: Isolated posterior malleolar (PM) fractures are rare fractures without consensus regarding treatment decisions and functional outcomes. The study aims to compare the clinical and radiological results of patients treated surgically or conservatively for isolated PM fractures.
Methods: The study included 30 patients who presented with an isolated PM fracture and were treated conservatively (n = 15) or with surgery (n = 15).
Environmental degradation due to the rapid increase in CO₂ emissions is a pressing global challenge, necessitating innovative solutions for accurate prediction and policy development. Machine learning (ML) techniques offer a robust approach to modeling complex relationships between various factors influencing emissions. Furthermore, ML models can learn and interpret the significance of each factor's contribution to the rise of CO.

Purpose: Study aimed to compare incidence of urinary tract infection (UTI), type of bacteria grown, development of antibiotic resistance over 2 years in children whose caregivers underwent training based on the Roy Adaptation Model with an android phone application for patients clean intermittent catheterization (RAMACIC) versus those whose caregivers received routine training in hospital.
Method: This study was conducted as a descriptive, prospective study with 40 patients and caregivers between October 2021 and 2023 as a continuation of a previously conducted randomized controlled experimental study by the researchers. Data were collected the "Participant Form," and "Urine Test Form" analyzed with the SPSS 22 package.

Theta oscillations of the mammalian amygdala are associated with processing, encoding and retrieval of aversive memories. In the hippocampus, the power of the network theta oscillation is modulated by basal forebrain (BF) GABAergic projections. Here, we combine anatomical and computational approaches to investigate if similar BF projections to the amygdaloid complex provide an analogous modulation of local network activity.

NMDAR antagonists, such as memantine and ketamine, have shown efficacy in treating neurodegenerative diseases and major depression. The mechanism by which these drugs correct the aforementioned diseases is still unknown. Our study reveals that these antagonists significantly enhance 20S proteasome activity, crucial for degrading intrinsically disordered, oxidatively damaged, or misfolded proteins, factors pivotal in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Haematological and Neurological Expressed 1 (HN1) is an oncogene for various cancers and previously has been linked with centrosome clustering and cell cycle pathways. Moreover, HN1 has recently been reported to activate mTOR signalling, which is the regulator of ribosome biogenesis and maintenance. We explored the role of HN1 in mTOR signalling through various gain- and loss-of-function experiments using biochemical approaches in different cell lines.

Background: Synovial sarcoma (SS) is classified as an aggressive high-grade soft tissue sarcoma that predominantly affects the extremities. Despite its prevalence in the extremities (up to 80%), diagnostic and treatment challenges persist. This study aims to address these challenges by providing a comprehensive analysis of SS in extremities, focusing on diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes.

Wound care presents an imposed financial burden for healthcare organizations, prompting the need for novel and cost-efficient dressings. In this study, we address this challenge by introducing a novel approach to fabricate antibacterial alginate-based fibrous materials using a combination of wet spinning and the wet-laying method, which offer advantages including structural and functional properties such as breathability, nontoxicity, biocompatibility, and cost-effectiveness. The wet spinning method was employed to develop porous and non-porous Ca-alginate fibers with diameters of 100 ± 4.

Neurological disorders, including cerebral vascular occlusions and strokes, present a major global health challenge due to their high mortality rates and long-term disabilities. Early diagnosis, particularly within the first hours, is crucial for preventing irreversible damage and improving patient outcomes. Although neuroimaging techniques like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have advanced significantly, traditional methods often fail to fully capture the complexity of brain lesions.

Objectives: Jitter analysis with concentric needle electrode of the thoracic 9 (T9) paraspinal muscle (PM), where the needle EMG examination at rest is difficult, was performed in both amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) patients and the controls.
Methods: For the T9 PM, both upper limit for mean and individual mean consecutive difference (MCD) values and spike numbers were calculated according to jitter values of pairs from controls. In addition to the descriptive statistics, differences between two groups and T9 PM needle EMG and jitter analysis findings of patients were compared (p = 0.

Introduction: Injuries and violence are among the most prominent public health problems in the world. As well as being a leading cause of mortality - particularly among children and young adults - many of the millions of non-fatal injuries result in life-long disabilities and health consequences. The aim of this study was to estimate the prevalence of unintentional injuries and violence, and their associated factors among high school students.

Objective: It is well known that children who suffer from obesity and asthma may also have exercise-induced bronchospasm. Exhaled nitric oxide is an indicator of airway inflammation, and could be affected by exercise. This study looked at how exercise, which is a typical cause of acute airway obstruction, affects the levels of FeNO and in obese and asthmatic children.

Background: Modulation of protein synthesis according to the physiological cues is maintained through tight control of Eukaryotic Elongation Factor 2 (eEF2), whose unique translocase activity is essential for cell viability. Phosphorylation of eEF2 at its Thr56 residue inactivates this function in translation. In our previous study we reported a novel mode of post-translational modification that promotes higher efficiency in T56 phosphorylation.
