In the current investigation, the efficiency inhibition of two newly synthesized bi-pyrazole derivatives, namely 2,3-bis[(bis((1 H-pyrazol-1-yl) methyl) amino)] pyridine (Tetra-Pz-Ortho) and 1,4-bis[(bis((1 H-pyrazol-1-yl) methyl) amino)] benzene (Tetra-Pz-Para) for corrosion of carbon steel (C&S) in 1 M HCl medium was evaluated. A Comparative study of inhibitor effect of Tetra-Pz-Ortho and Tetra-Pz-Para was conducted first using weight loss method and EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy) and PDP (Potentiodynamic Polarisation) techniques. Tetra-Pz-Ortho and Tetra-Pz-Para had a maximum inhibition efficacy of 97.

Purpose: Given the potential role of nasolacrimal duct (NLD) morphometry in the aetiology of primary acquired obstructions, it is imperative that clinicians have access to detailed anatomical information. The aim of this study was to determine normative data on nasolacrimal duct morphometry in the Turkish population sample and to provide guidelines for clinicians.

Methods: The study included retrospectively computed tomography images of a healthy Turkish population sample of 151 individuals, 79 of whom were female and 72 of whom were male.

Male factor accounts for 30-50% of infertility cases and may occur due to congenital anomalies or acquired disorders. In such infertility cases where a limited number of mature sperm is produced, a solution is offered to patients with ART applications; however, these methods are inadequate in patients with germ cell aplasia due to damaged microenvironment. Since monolayer cell culture and static culture conditions do not provide the physical conditions of the 3D microenvironment, they have a limited effect on ensuring the execution of in vitro spermatogenesis properly.

Chest imaging in children presents unique challenges due to varying requirements across age groups. For chest radiographs, achieving optimal images often involves careful positioning and immobilisation techniques. Antero-posterior projections are easier to obtain in younger children, while lateral decubitus radiographs are sometimes used when expiratory images are difficult to obtain and for free air exclusion.

This study aims to compare two different single-puncture arthrocentesis (SPA) Type 2 techniques, the Y-shaped cannula and the concentric needle methods, in terms of intraoperative parameters. In the study, data from 32 unilateral temporomandibular joint (TMJ) arthrocentesis procedures, including procedure duration (seconds), the number of cannula relocations, and procedural difficulty (evaluated using a visual analog scale), were retrospectively analyzed. The Y-shaped cannula technique was found to significantly reduce procedure duration (284.

Conversion of rice straw into nanocellulose offers a sustainable approach to agricultural waste management, yielding an industrially important product with potential applications. This work focuses on effectively extracting pure cellulose from both widely used Basmati and Parmal rice straw (BRS and PRS) using less alkali concentrations (3-5 % NaOH). The process was optimized via Box Behnken design at 90-150 °C temperatures for 90-150 min, which resulted in 88.

Introduction: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of mental nerve block (MINB) and conventional inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) anesthesia during endodontic treatment of mandibular first and second premolars with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis (SIP).

Methods: In this randomized, double-blind, clinical trial, 120 patients undergoing endodontic treatment of mandibular premolars were randomly assigned to IANB (n=60) or MINB (n=60) using 4% articaine with 1:100,000 epinephrine hydrochloride. Pain levels were evaluated preoperatively and during cold tests, cavity preparation, and pulp extirpation using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS).

Objectives: Mid-urethral sling (MUS) insertion is the gold standard approach to treat stress urinary incontinence (SUI) and adaptable single-incision mini-slings (SIMSs) aim to reduce complications. A previous study of our team has found that SIMSs were comparable to transobturator slings in cure rates after 24 months of follow-up. This study aims to compare the rates of cure, complications and re-intervention of both slings over a long-term follow-up of 5 years.
