Difficult Airway Management in Oromaxillofacial Tumor Surgery: Two Case Reports and Review of the Literature.

Difficult airway management in oromaxillofacial tumor surgery poses significant challenges for anesthesiologists. We present two case reports of patients with mandibular malignant tumors and maxillary osteosarcoma who underwent surgery under general anesthesia. Preoperative assessment revealed a mass involving the right mandible, completely covering the inside of the mouth and invading the floor of the mouth in the first case, and a mass in the left maxilla extending to the zygomatic arch and orbital floor in the second case.

Evaluating the potential of abbreviated MRI protocols for liver metastasis detection: a study in colorectal cancer patients.

Scanning electron microscopy results revealed that DFPs generated through the PG method exhibited smaller diameters and a larger surface area than ES.

This study examined the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective effects of melatonin (MEL) against acrylamide (ACR)-induced neurotoxicity in Sprague-Dawley rats. The experimental groups included control, ACR, MEL10+ACR, MEL20+ACR, and MEL20. MEL at doses of 10 and 20 mg/kg, and ACR at 50 mg/kg, were administered intraperitoneally for 14 days.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 32 patients who underwent segmental bone transport for tibial bone defects between January 2006 and January 2020 and met the study inclusion criteria. Patients were categorized into two groups: CASt group (n = 16) and CEFt group (n = 16).

While previous studies have examined trust and health literacy separately, few have examined trust in health systems regarding health literacy and trust in public health authorities. Therefore, the primary purpose of this study is to determine the mediating role of health literacy in the relationship between trust in public health authorities and distrust in the health system.

A novel model, A-HIPI, was found to be superior to IPS in predicting prognosis. In this study, we aimed to validate the A-HIPI model among Turkish cHL patients and compare its performance with other clinical prediction models.
