This research aimed to measure radon activity concentrations in bottled drinking water (BDW) samples consumed in Kahramanmaraş town, Turkiye. Also, to evaluate the health risk that may occur as a result of internal irradiation resulting from ingestion and inhalation of radon in BDW samples, the total annual effective dose equivalent (AEDE) for infants, children, and adults (1-2 y, 2-12 y, and > 17 y) and excess lifetime cancer risk (ELCR) for adults (> 17 y) had to be calculated. For these purposes, 32 water samples of different volumes belonging to 8 different commercial brands, representing a large part of the BDW consumed as drinking water and sold commercially in Kahramanmaraş were collected by purchasing from markets.

Anagen effluvium is a rare adverse effect of methotrexate therapy, generally associated with high-dose regimens. We report a 12-year-old girl who developed abrupt hair loss 1 week after inadvertently taking methotrexate 15 mg daily for five consecutive days (total 75 mg), without other signs of systemic toxicity. Trichoscopic examination and trichogram findings confirmed methotrexate-induced anagen effluvium, and spontaneous hair regrowth occurred after 2 months.

Objective: To assess the frequency of unrecognized myocardial infarction and identify additional ischemic conditions, as well as to evaluate the efficacy of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) in risk groups, comparing the imaging findings with electro-cardiographic (ECG) and laboratory data in patients with stage 5 chronic kidney disease, also known as end-stage renal disease.
Materials And Methods: This was a prospective single-center study involving 20 patients who were referred to our radiology department to undergo CMRI between June 2010 and December 2011. Resting left ventricular functions and (early and late) myocardial contrast enhancement were assessed in all patients.

Objective: This study aims at evaluating if ChatGPT-based artificial intelligence (AI) models are effective in interpreting electrocardiograms (ECGs) and determine their accuracy as compared to those of cardiologists. The purpose is therefore to explore if ChatGPT can be employed for clinical setting, particularly where there are no available cardiologists.
Methods: A total of 107 ECG cases classified according to difficulty (simple, intermediate, complex) were analyzed using three AI models (GPT-ECGReader, GPT-ECGAnalyzer, GPT-ECGInterpreter) and compared with the performance of two cardiologists.

IntroductionPeripheral artery disease (PAD) poses a growing clinical challenge due to an aging population, despite advances in treatment methods. Various scoring systems have emerged to predict high-risk patients, including the HALP (hemoglobin, albumin, lymphocyte, and platelet) score, known for predicting prognosis in cancers and stroke. This study assesses the HALP score's relation to lesion severity and long-term mortality in PAD patients.

Objectives: To gain further understanding of current outcomes regarding urethroplasty for female urethral stricture disease.
Methods: The European Association of Urology Section of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons formed the Female Reconstruction Group to enhance multicentric collaboration, and to generate more evidence on the most effective treatment options for female patients with recurrent urethral stricture. Patients were eligible for inclusion if they had a urethral stricture and had undergone one of three reconstructive procedures, namely ventral onlay flap (VOFU), ventral onlay graft (VOGU) or dorsal onlay graft (DOGU) urethroplasty.

Advances in diagnosis and treatment have significantly increased survival rates for childhood cancer, leading to a growing population of long-term survivors. However, these survivors face substantial physical and psychological sequelae that affect both the child and their family. We developed the RECOVER model of care to support childhood cancer survivors as they transition from the end of their planned treatment to survivorship, addressing the broader health and wellness needs beyond medical surveillance.

Ovarian cancer is among the most lethal gynecologic malignancies, often diagnosed at advanced stages due to a lack of effective screening tools. Recent studies suggest that the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), an indicator of systemic inflammation, may serve as a potential biomarker for diagnosing and staging ovarian cancer. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis, adhering to PRISMA guidelines.
