Granulomatous skin disorders comprise a large group of diseases that are typically characterized by granuloma formation both in the skin and in many other tissues. Cutaneous lesions are usually seen as erythematous papules and plaques that may occasionally be arranged in an annular, ringlike configuration. The etiopathogenesis is unclear in most cases, and granuloma formation may be associated with various systemic, infectious, and metabolic disorders, foreign bodies, environmental antigens, or malignancies.

Purpose: We examined the prognostic significance of early changes in primary tumor SUV measured with Gallium-68-labeled prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography ([Ga]Ga-PSMA-11-PET/CT) and serum PSA values after neoadjuvant androgen deprivation treatment (nADT) in high-risk prostate cancer (PCa) patients treated with definitive radiotherapy (RT).
Methods: The clinical data and SUV parameters of 71 PCa patients were reviewed retrospectively. The serum PSA and primary tumor SUV values were calculated before and after the start of ADT.

Background: In patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), the risk of thromboembolism increases due to hemostatic changes secondary to the primary disease and due to treatment-related factors. In this multicenter study, we aimed to research the frequency of central nervous system (CNS) thrombosis occurring during treatment, hereditary and acquired risk factors, clinical and laboratory features of patients with thrombosis, treatment approaches, and thrombosis-related mortality and morbidity rates in pediatric ALL patients.
Procedure: Pediatric patients who developed CNS thrombosis during ALL treatment from 2010 to 2021 were analyzed retrospectively in 25 different Pediatric Hematology Oncology centers in Türkiye.

Background: To evaluate the treatment outcomes and toxicity of definitive radiotherapy (RT) for prostate cancer (PC) patients using the simultaneous integrated boost (SIB) technique, which delivered 78 Gy to the entire prostate and 86 Gy to the intraprostatic lesion (IPL) in 39 fractions.
Materials And Methods: Univariable and multivariable analyses were conducted of the prognostic factors for freedom from biochemical failure (FFBF), progression-free survival (PFS), and PC-specific survival (PCSS) of 619 PC patients who received definitive RT between September 2012 and August 2021. Predictors of late Grade ≥2 genitourinary (GU) and gastrointestinal (GI) toxicities were also identified using logistic regression.

Purpose: We assessed early changes in apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) values after definitive radiotherapy (RT) without androgen deprivation treatment in low- and intermediate-risk prostate cancer (PC) patients.
Materials And Methods: The clinical data and ADC parameters of 229 PC patients were retrospectively evaluated. Pre-treatment and post-treatment serum PSA and primary tumor ADC values were calculated.

Background: Septic arthritis of the shoulder is a rare but devastating condition that may lead to joint destruction. There are few studies and limited outcome data on shoulder arthroplasty for infected native shoulders with end-stage glenohumeral arthritis (GHA). Hence, this study aimed to demonstrate the clinical outcomes of two-stage implantation in reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) using an antibiotic spacer in the first stage for this challenging condition.

A 50-year-old man with recurrent pterygium and a 46-year-old woman with primary pterygium underwent surgery using a novel autograft transfer technique that facilitates autograft suturing and ensures correct graft orientation. After removing the pterygium, three edges of the autograft were cut. The autograft was flipped first over the uncut edge and secured to the superior margin of the recipient bed with two sutures.

Apelin is a cardioprotective biomarker while galectin-3 is a pro-inflammatory and profibrotic biomarker. Endothelial dysfunction, hyperinflammation, and pulmonary fibrosis are key mechanisms that contribute to the development of adverse outcomes in Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection. This study aims to analyze the prognostic value of serum apelin and galectin-3 levels to early predict patients at high risk of mortality in patients hospitalized for severe COVID-19 pneumonia.
