Article Synopsis
  • Ideal partner preferences shape key insights in human mating research, but recent studies face issues such as inconsistent analysis methods and varying findings across different populations.
  • A large-scale study involving 10,358 participants from 43 countries revealed significant effects of preference matching, particularly when analyzing traits collectively, with some traits showing minimal impact on partner evaluations.
  • The research also highlighted gender differences, where both men and women misjudged the importance of traits like attractiveness and earning potential in their stated preferences compared to actual revealed preferences.

, or giant river prawn, is the most economically crucial cultured freshwater crustacean. A predominant challenge in developing crustacean aquaculture is reproduction management, particularly ovary maturation, where identifying regulative mechanisms at the molecular level is critical. Ovary is the primary tissue for studying gene and protein expressions involved in crustacean growth and reproduction.

Umbilical cord blood (CB) is a valuable source of haematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSCs) and is known for the therapeutic use of these cells in treating blood disorders. However, challenges such as a high running cost and the increasing availability of treatment alternatives have made the effort to sustain CB banks difficult. This prompts the need to revisit the current CB banking initiatives to retain the relevance in this ever‑changing era parallel to the fast‑pacing development of cell‑based therapeutic technology.

Background/objectives: Nuclear pleomorphism, a crucial determinant of breast cancer grading under the Nottingham Histopathology Grading (NHG) system, remains inadequately quantified in the existing literature. Motivated by this gap, our study seeks to investigate and establish correlations among morphological features across various scores of nuclear pleomorphism, as per the NHG system. We aim to quantify nuclear pleomorphism across these scores and validate our proposed measurement method against ground-truth data.

  • Radix Glycyrrhizae, derived from the roots of the Glycyrrhiza glabra plant, is a well-known Chinese herbal remedy effective for respiratory issues like coughs and asthma, but its electrical properties are not well-researched due to its complex chemical composition.
  • Analysis using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) found high levels of beneficial compounds such as flavonoids and saponins in Radix Glycyrrhizae, while Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) identified various functional groups contributing to its medicinal properties.
  • The study measured the extract's dielectric and impedance properties, revealing consistent dielectric constants across instruments, but differing loss factor trends at various frequencies, indicating the need for

Female has become more popular in Malaysia as emerging species mainly for soft-shell crabs and crab fattening (to increase weight, size and ovary maturation so that they can be sold at a higher price). To harvest crabs in soft-shell conditions and fattening, both conditions depend mostly on moulting events. To accelerate the moulting process, the manipulation of water parameter (salinity) and autotomy of the limb is commonly used.

Electronic address:

Oral vaccines are generally perceived to be safe, easy to administer, and have the potential to induce both systemic and mucosal immune responses. However, given the challenges posed by the harsh gastrointestinal environment and mucus barriers, the development of oral vaccines necessitates the employment of a safe and efficient delivery system. In recent years, nanoparticle-based delivery has proven to be an ideal delivery vector for the manufacture of oral vaccines.

Dementia is characterized by a progressive decline in cognition, behavioral and psychological symptoms (BPSD), and quality of life (QoL). The lack of curative therapies has led to a psychosocial discourse prioritizing QoL of people thriving with dementia (PTD). Group reminiscence therapy (RT) is a relatively inexpensive intervention, with music prompts being a preferred choice, owing to robust musical memory in the early disease stage.
