We theoretically investigated the electron-surface optical phonon interaction across the long-range Fröhlich coupling in monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides, such as WS, WSe, MoS, and MoSe monolayers, on SiC and hexagonal BN dielectric substrates. We employed the effective Hamiltonian in the K+(K-) valley of the hexagonal Brillouin zone to assess the electronic energy shifts induced by the interaction between electronic states and surface polar optical phonons. Our results indicate that the interaction between electrons and surface optical phonons depends upon the polar nature of the substrate.

This work's objective is to investigate the laminar steady flow characteristics of non-Newtonian nano-fluids in a developed chaotic microdevice known as a two-layer crossing channels micromixer (TLCCM). The continuity equation, the 3D momentum equations, and the species transport equations have been solved numerically at low Reynolds numbers with the commercial CFD software Fluent. A procedure has been verified for non-Newtonian flow in studied geometry that is continuously heated.

Plants offer a bountiful source of natural pest control solutions through their essential oils. This research introduces and analyzes an eco-friendly natural essential oil for red flour beetle control. Therefore, the current study was included to show the chemical profile and the insecticidal efficacy of resin essential oil (REO) and its fractions (F), resulting from chromatographic separation, from the plant against adults.

Motor skill development is crucial in human growth, evolving with the maturation of the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. Quantifying these skills, especially coordinative abilities, remains challenging. This study aimed to assess the performance of five motor tasks in children and adolescents using high-speed video analysis, providing data for movement and health professionals.

Background: This study aimed to investigate the effects of intradialytic concurrent (resistance-endurance) training combined with melatonin (MEL) supplementation on oxidative stress, inflammation, and cellular damage in hemodialysis (HD) patients.
Methods: Thirty-two HD patients were randomly assigned to three groups: Exercise (EX)-MEL, EX-Placebo (PLA), and Control (C)-PLA. Participants in the EX-MEL and EX-PLA groups underwent 12 weeks of concurrent training.

is mostly grown for its usage in the food, medical, and perfume industries, while it is also used as an attractive plant in parks, gardens, and homes. The use of essential oil may yield new results in relation to the antimicrobial activity of essential oils and their use mainly in extending the shelf life of foods. This study investigates the chemical composition and antimicrobial properties of essential oil (RDEO) using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and various bioassays to explore its potential applications in food preservation and microorganism growth control.

Due to Mediterranean climatic conditions, traditional pluvial agrosystems are widespread along the southern Mediterranean shore and were previously thought to have minimal impact on surface water resources due to low agricultural input levels. However, current pesticide applications are now considered to contribute significantly to the contamination of surface water resources, which may result in severe impacts on biodiversity and the environment. This study examined the presence and mobility risk of pesticides in the surface waters of the Lebna watershed in northeastern Tunisia, a rainfed Mediterranean agricultural region.

Microbial proteases and keratinases find extensive application in both the detergent and leather industries, as well as in poultry waste management. In this study, a multifunctional strain MH1 exhibiting proteolytic and keratinolytic activities was newly isolated and identified as Bacillus zhangzhouensis. To improve its stability, the proteolytic extract was spray-dried and the stability was assessed during two years of storage.

The interaction between two square palladium (II) dianions PdX (X=Cl, Br) is evaluated by crystal study and analyzed by quantum chemical means. The arrangement within the crystal between each pair of PdX neighbors is suggestive of a Pd⋅⋅⋅X noncovalent bond, which is verified by a battery of computational protocols. While the potential between these two bare dianions is computed to be highly repulsive, the introduction of even just two counterions makes this interaction attractive, as does the presence of a constellation of point charges.

Large-scale superconductor applications necessitate a superconducting matrix with pinning sites (PSs) that immobilize vortices at elevated temperatures and magnetic fields. While previous works focused on the single addition of nanoparticles, the simultaneous inclusion of different nanoparticles into a superconducting matrix can be an effective way to achieve an improved flux pinning capacity. The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of mixed-nanoparticle pinning, with the co-addition of non-magnetic (BaTiO; BT) and various types of magnetic spinel ferrite (MFeO, abbreviated as MFO, where M = Mn, Co, Cu, Zn, and Ni) nanoparticles, on the superconductivity and flux pinning performances of the high-temperature superconductor YBaCuO (YBCO).

We examined the effects of eight weeks of single-mode resistance, repeated sprint training, and the combination of the two programs on selected measures of physical fitness (muscle power, speed, and body composition), hematological parameters, and plasma volume variations in highly trained soccer players. Sixty male soccer players from the Tunisian national Ligue were randomly allocated to a resistance training group (RTG), a repeated sprint training group (RSTG), a combined resistance and repeated sprint training group (CTG), or an active control group (CG, soccer training only). The training volumes were similar between groups.
