The debate continues whether the expression of the same rare genetic mutation in multiple primary lung cancers suggests intrapulmonary metastasis or truly multiple primary lung cancers. We report a case of a 54-year-old female patient who presented with multiple nodules in the right lung discovered during a routine examination, persisting for six months. The patient had three central lesions in the right lung's upper, middle, and lower lobes.

Background: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is a malignant neoplasm with detrimental implications for human health. The landscape of ESCC therapy has been revolutionized by the introduction of immunotherapy, specifically involving immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). A number of studies have documented the prognostic significance of T-cell receptor (TCR) repertoire and its association with many tumors.

Vascular remodeling represents a pathological basis for myocardial pathologies, including myocardial hypertrophy and myocardial infarction, which can ultimately lead to heart failure. The molecular mechanism of angiotensin II (Ang II)-induced vascular remodeling following myocardial infarction reperfusion is complex and not yet fully understood. In this study, we examined the effect of Ang II infusion on cardiac vascular remodeling in mice.

Advanced metastatic cardia cancer is an intractable malignance with poor prognosis. It is often accompanied by upper digestive tract obstruction, which seriously affects the quality of patients. Therefore, effective relief of eating obstruction is an important goal in the treatment of cardia cancer.

Background: Cuproptosis, a metal-ion-dependent form of regulated cell death induced by copper overload, is emerging as a potential mechanism in high-grade glioma (HGG). Despite its significance, the role of cuproptosis in predicting the prognostic and therapeutic response in HGG remains poorly understood.
Methods: We performed unsupervised clustering to stratify patients with HGG in the Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas (CGGA) according to the expression of 14 cuproptosis-related genes (CRGs) and validated in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA).

The diagnosis of cervical lymph node metastasis from thyroid cancer is an essential stage in the progression of thyroid cancer. The metastasis of cervical lymph nodes directly affects the prognosis and survival rate of patients. Therefore, timely and early diagnosis is crucial for effective treatment and can significantly improve patients' survival rate and quality of life.

To predict patient survival prognosis, we aimed to establish a novel set of gene features associated with hypoxia and apoptosis. RNA-seq and clinical data of LUAD were sourced from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases, while hypoxia and apoptosis-related genes were obtained from the Molecular Signatures Database (MsigDB). A 13-gene-prognostic model incorporating hypoxia and apoptosis genes was developed using univariate/multivariate Cox regression, Nonnegative Matrix Factorization (NMF) clustering, and LASSO regression.

Objectives: To investigate the potential of intratumoral and peritumoral radiomics derived from T2-weighted MRI to preoperatively predict extrapelvic peritoneal metastasis (EPM) in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC).
Methods: In this retrospective study, 488 patients from four centers were enrolled and divided into training (n = 245), internal test (n = 105), and external test (n = 138) sets. Intratumoral and peritumoral models were constructed based on radiomics features extracted from the corresponding regions.

Background: To explore new modulatory intervention targets for radiation-induced lung injury, bioinformatics analysis technology was used to search for the core driving genes in the pathogenesis of radiation pneumonitis, and the results were verified by a radiation-induced murine lung injury model to find possible new targets for the treatment of radiation lung injury.
Method: Gene Expression Omnibus Database was used to identify differentially expressed genes in radiation pneumonitis. DAVID database was used for gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genome (KEGG) enrichment analysis.

Background: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is a prevalent form of cancer globally, with chemoresistance posing a major challenge in treatment outcomes. The efficacy of the commonly used chemotherapeutic agent, cisplatin, is diminished in patients with poor prognoses.
Methods: Various bioinformatics databases were utilized to examine Carboxylesterase 1 (CES1) gene expression, clinicopathologic features, patient survival analysis, and gene function.

Background: The depth of myometrial invasion determines whether International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage I endometrioid endometrial carcinoma (EEC) patients undergo lymph node dissection. However, subjective evaluation results relying on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are not always satisfactory.
Purpose: To develop a nomogram based on whole-volume tumor MRI histogram parameters to preoperatively predict deep myometrial invasion (DMI) in patients with stage I EEC.

Background: Ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) is a critical strategy to rehabilitate marginal donor lungs, thereby increasing lung transplantation (LTx) rates. Ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury inevitably occurs during LTx. Exploring the common mechanisms between EVLP and I/R may unveil new treatment targets to enhance LTx outcomes.

This study aimed to comprehensively investigate the influence of multi-leaf collimator (MLC) position errors on both the clinical absolute dose distribution and Gamma passing rate (%GP) in intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) plans for breast cancer. Additionally, the correlation between %GP and the clinical absolute dose relative difference (%DE) caused by MLC position errors was analysed. Ten IMRT plans for breast cancer were randomly selected.
