Numerous experimental and clinical studies have shown that oxidative stress (OS) plays an important role in the development of epilepsy. The epileptic seizures themselves are caused by OS and, under conditions of a hypermetabolic state, cause an intensive production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the brain. The reason for this is called a change in the energy balance in the brain.

Similar follow-ups were divided into three groups in the main group with mild to moderate severity of periodontitis with a 10-day intake of radon, 43 patients were united into the control group with no pathological changes in periodontal tissue however. Inhalation and rinsing with radon-containing water causes a decrease in LDH levels in the oral cavity.

In addition, we are constantly under the influence of different EMF frequencies, the study of which also deserves attention. The aim of the work is detailed analysis of alpha radiation Tskhaltubo water effect.

The close relationship of the respiratory system with other systems and organs, its significant participation in the processes of metabolism once again proves the exceptional role of the study of respiratory function. On the other hand, the health of students is one of the most important social tasks of modern society. The aim of the study was detection of parameters of external respiration in students of Georgia.

Development and introduction of modern clinical diagnostic tests (that allow to evaluate the functional system of immune homeostasis) into medical practice, a huge body of evidence on the leading role of the immune system in pathogenesis most acute and chronic diseases and even identification of specific nosological forms of immune-mediated diseases forced the scientists to search and develop new tools and techniques that have therapeutic effects on the impaired immune homeostasis and restore it to the normal state. The introduction of a new concept - immunorehabilitation - was an impetus for the accumulation of new knowledge and a catalyst for research in clinical immunology. It was Revaz Sepiashvili who breathed life into the concept of immunorehabilitation.

Climate and geographical conditions such as: air temperature, humidity and plant diversity represented in the region is of great importance for prevalence of allergic diseases. All these factors will maintain growing of allergization/sensitization of the body. It is known that allergic diseases (pollinosis, bronchial asthma), the highest percentage comes on the allergens- aeropolutants, that are represented in many plants and herbs in the form of dust (ragweed pollen, alder, birch, maple, walnut, mallow, cotton plant etc.

Despite the undoubted success of specific immunotherapy of allergic diseases (desensitization), one should confess that its effectiveness is not always satisfactory, and this explains the ongoing search for new approaches to immunotherapy. This conclusion is based on the results of basic research in immunology and allergy which provide new opportunities for therapy. The analysis of relevant work related to the study of allergic processes makes it possible to allocate two items: 1) specific hyposensitization-therapeutic approach that is primarily aimed at the final stage of the allergic reaction development; 2) development of allergic phenotype begins at early stages of B lymphocyte development while its final stage, IgE hyperproduction, depends on multiple of pre- and accompanying factors.

Disturbances in lipid metabolism, intensification of lipid peroxidize oxidation and functions of sympatho-adrenal system play an important role in the development and progressing of ischaemic cardiac disease. As a result of investigations it has been established that microelement--selenium has an antiatherogenic action and suppresses peroxidize oxidation of lipids. The effect of treatment with selenium electrophoresis in patients suffering from ischaemic cardiac disease with a stable stenocardia of tension has been studied.

Balneotherapy, balneotraction therapy, balneokinesotherapy and balneotraction kinesotherapy in weak radon nitrogen mineral water (Tskhaltubo springs) were compared for efficacy in patients suffering from osteoarthritis of large joints stage I-IV with synovitis. Balneotraction was found most adequate. Balneotherapy is also beneficial, whereas balneokinesotherapy is indicated only in the second half of the treatment course.

Traction of lower limbs in weak radon nitric mineral water from Tskhaltubo springs was tried for treatment of major joints osteoarthritis stage I-III versus balneotherapy alone. The disease running with synovitis was assessed as regards clinical indices, activity of the inflammation, connective tissue destruction, limb hemodynamics and neuromuscular status. Underwater traction produced a 10% increase in efficacy as compared balneotherapy alone, it extends indications to balneotherapy on osteoarthritis with synovitis and permits early introduction of adjuvant physical methods contributing to rehabilitation of osteoarthritis patients.
