Giant pandas are the flagship species in world conservation. Due to bamboo being the primary food source for giant pandas, dental wear is common owing to the extreme toughness of the bamboo fiber. Even though research on tooth enamel wear in humans and domestic animals is well-established, research on tooth enamel wear in giant pandas is scarce.

Due to extensive industrial activities, many environmental challenges have devastated human beings and environmental integrity. Therefore, sustainable supply chain (SC) practices (lean, green, and agile - LGA) gained momentum in the manufacturing industry. Considering the importance of LGA-SC, this study investigates the impact of LGA-SC practices on green innovation (GI), supply chain competitive advantage (SCPA), supply chain responsiveness (SCR), and sustainable firm performance (SFP).

We describe a new method to combine propensity-score matching with regression adjustment in treatment-control studies when outcomes are binary by multiply imputing potential outcomes under control for the matched treated subjects. This enables the estimation of clinically meaningful measures of effect such as the risk difference. We used Monte Carlo simulation to explore the effect of the number of imputed potential outcomes under control for the matched treated subjects on inferences about the risk difference.

Matching on an estimated propensity score is frequently used to estimate the effects of treatments from observational data. Since the 1970s, different authors have proposed methods to combine matching at the design stage with regression adjustment at the analysis stage when estimating treatment effects for continuous outcomes. Previous work has consistently shown that the combination has generally superior statistical properties than either method by itself.

Phosphorylated methyl-CpG binding protein2 (p-MeCP2) suppresses the processing of several microRNAs (miRNAs). Homeo-domain interacting protein kinase2 (HIPK2) phosphorylates MeCP2, a known transcriptional repressor. However, it is not known if MeCP2 and HIPK2 are involved in processing of miRNAs implicated in diabetic nephropathy.

Cell type-specific conditional activation of oncogenic K-Ras is a powerful tool for investigating the cell of origin of adenocarcinomas in the mouse lung. Our previous studies showed that K-Ras activation with a CC10(Scgb1a1)-CreER driver leads to adenocarcinoma in a subset of alveolar type II cells and hyperplasia in the bronchioalveolar duct region. However, no tumors develop in the bronchioles, although recombination occurs throughout this region.

We report a simple method for identifying foldable viral surface protein fragments in a random but systematic manner. The method involves digestion and reassembly of a target gene to generate a pool of smaller DNA fragments with random ends but controllable lengths, followed by screening for foldable fragments using green fluorescent protein (GFP) as a folding reporter. The surface glycoproteins of SARS-CoV and HIV-1 were used as model proteins.
