Background: Telehealth has enabled access to rehabilitation throughout the pandemic. We assessed the feasibility of delivering a multi-disciplinary, multi-component rehabilitation programme (ReStOre@Home) to cancer survivors via telehealth.
Methods: This single-arm mixed methods feasibility study recruited participants who had completed curative treatment for oesophago-gastric cancer for a 12-week telehealth rehabilitation programme, involving group resistance training, remotely monitored aerobic training, one-to-one dietetic counselling, one-to-one support calls and group education.

The perioperative period theoretically is a critical time of opportunity for the progression of pre-existing tumour micrometastasis. Therefore,the timing of introducing cancer therapies including chemotherapy, radiation therapy and immunotherapies in the postoperative period is important. Despite the exciting properties and wide-reaching applications of nanobiomaterials (NBMs) in human health and medicine, their translation from bench to bedside is slow, with a predominant issue being liver accumulation and toxicity following systemic administration. In vitro 2D cell-based assays and in vivo testing are the most popular and widely used methods for assessing liver toxicity at pre-clinical stages; however, these fall short in predicting toxicity for NBMs. Focusing on in vitro and in vivo assessment, the accurate prediction of human-specific hepatotoxicity is still a significant challenge to researchers.

The mortality associated with cervical cancer can be reduced if detected at the precancer stage, but current methods are limited in terms of subjectivity, cost and time. Optical spectroscopic methods such as Raman spectroscopy can provide a rapid, label-free and nondestructive measurement of the biochemical fingerprint of a cell, tissue or biofluid. Response rates to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) remain low in oesophageal adenocarcinoma (OAC). Combining ICB with immunostimulatory chemotherapies to boost response rates is an attractive approach for converting 'cold' tumours into 'hot' tumours. This study profiled immune checkpoint (IC) expression on circulating and tumour-infiltrating T cells in OAC patients and correlated these findings with clinical characteristics.

Purpose: This study aimed to characterize MSH6/PMS2-associated mismatch repair-deficient (MMR-D)/microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) tumors, given revised guidelines suggesting more modest phenotypes.
Methods: Patients who consented to Institutional Review Board-approved protocols of tumor/germline sequencing or Lynch syndrome registry at a single institution from February 2005 to January 2021 with germline, heterozygous MSH6/PMS2 pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants were identified. Clinical data were abstracted and correlated with MMR/microsatellite instability status using nonparametric tests.

The number of older adults presenting for radiation therapy is increasing, as many older adults may be excluded from receipt of surgery and chemotherapy due to multimorbidity or concerns about toxicity. For radiation oncologists, making decisions about appropriate treatment modalities for their older patients can be difficult. Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) is recommended to aid the decision-making process in radiation oncology, in conjunction with the judicious use of frailty screening tools, which are the first step in identifying those who need a CGA.

Natural killer (NK) cell infiltration of solid tumours is associated with better outcomes, placing augmentation of NK cell abundance in tumours as an attractive immunotherapeutic approach. The unique ability of NK cells to target cancer cells without antigen specificity increases their versatility and applicability as an immunotherapeutic tool. However, successful utilisation of NK cell-based therapies in solid tumours is still at an early stage.
