Background: Most of the parents have no idea that how and when they should educate about sexual health to their typically growing children. It is important for parents to educate their children with intellectual disability about sexual health. The risk of sexual exploitation and abuse is very high in individuals with intellectual disability.

Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) matrix materials are quickly being investigated for application in concrete construction repair, reinforcement, and refurbishment. The technology has progressed to the point that its future acceptance is mainly reliant on the availability of established design guidelines based on recognized performance criteria, as well as the cost competitiveness of these technologies in contrast to conventional rehabilitation methods. The goal of this study is to evaluate the different functional grades of adhesives throughout bond length for bonded socket joints of laminated FRP composite pipes.

Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is often accompanied with several neuromuscular complications of which muscle fatigue is one of the scantily studied and less-explored complication of this disease.
Objective: To investigate the effects of resistance training (RT) on muscle fatigue markers from electromyography (EMG) and capillary blood in T2DM patients.
Methods: Forty T2DM patients were randomized to either RT (n = 20) or control group (n = 20).

Designing an inhibitor having strong affinity in the active site pocket is the cherished goal of structure based drug designing. To achieve this, it is considerably important to predict which structural scaffold is better suited for change to increase affinity. We have explored five HDAC2 co-crystals having PDB ligand code- (vorinostat), , , (BRD4884) and (BRD7232).

Electrical discharge machining (EDM) has recently been shown to be one of the most successful unconventional machining methods for meeting the requirements of today's manufacturing sector by producing complicated curved geometries in a broad variety of contemporary engineering materials. The machining efficiency of an EDM process during hexagonal hole formation on pearlitic Spheroidal Graphite (SG) iron 450/12 grade material was examined in this study utilizing peak current (I), pulse-on time (T), and inter-electrode gap (IEG) as input parameters. The responses, on the other hand, were the material removal rate (MRR) and overcut.

Local delivery of anticancer agents via injectable hydrogels could be a promising method for achieving spatiotemporal control on drug release as well as minimizing the disadvantages related to the systemic mode of drug delivery. Keeping this in mind, we report the development of ,-carboxymethyl chitosan (,-CMCS)-guar gum-based injectable hydrogels for the sustained delivery of anticancer drugs. The hydrogels were synthesized by chemical crosslinking of multialdehyde guar gum (MAGG) and ,-CMCS through dynamic Schiff base linkages, without requiring any external crosslinker.

Objective: The present study aimed to investigate the electromyographic (EMG) indices of muscle fatigue along with biochemical marker of fatigue-that is, blood lactate-during a dynamic fatigue protocol in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) vs a healthy control group. Secondarily, it aimed to examine the association between EMG indices of muscle fatigue and blood lactate in these patients.
Methods: Thirty-four participants took part in the study: 19 individuals with T2DM (age, 53.

The post-infection of COVID-19 includes a myriad of neurologic symptoms including neurodegeneration. Protein aggregation in brain can be considered as one of the important reasons behind the neurodegeneration. SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 protein receptor binding domain (SARS-CoV-2 S1 RBD) binds to heparin and heparin binding proteins.

The aim of the study was to develop a novel automated setup for bone grinding to limit the temperature to below 43 °C. The feasibility of using ultrasonic actuation during bone osteotomy was explored with different machining variables, such as rotational speed, feed rate and ultrasonic frequency, in terms of the criterion variable (i.e.

This paper addresses an important issue faced by neurosurgeons during surgical skull bone grinding, a common process used to remove bone in skull base tumour removal surgery to enable the neurosurgeon to reach the target region. The heat generated during bone grinding could harm the soft tissues and can lead to osteonecrosis and cell death. In the present study, a novel process of rotary ultrasonic bone grinding (RUBG) was proposed for osteotomy to limit the temperature to a safe level.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare cervicocephalic kinesthesia and electromyographic (EMG) activity of neck muscles-upper trapezius (UT) and sternocleidomastoid (SCM)-between individuals with and without forward head posture (FHP) and to examine the correlation between cervicocephalic kinesthesia and craniovertebral angle (CVA).
Methods: Twenty-two asymptomatic individuals with FHP and 22 without FHP were recruited for the present study. Craniovertebral angle was measured, and those with CVA ≤53° were assigned to the FHP group, whereas those with CVA >53° were assigned to the control group.

Coronavirus was first discovered during the year 1930 and since then, various coronaviruses like HKU1, MERS-CoV , NL63 and SARS-CoV-2 have been found to infect humans. The COVID-19 pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 is spreading at an alarming rate, thereby creating a health emergency around the world. SARS-CoV2 is reported to be originated from a wet animal market of Wuhan, China.

The present work explores the potential of magneto-rheological fluid assisted abrasive finishing (MRF-AF) for obtaining precise surface topography of an in-house developed β-phase Ti-Nb-Ta-Zr (TNTZ) alloy for orthopedic applications. Investigations have been made to study the influence of the concentration of carbonyl iron particles (CIP), rotational speed (Nt), and working gap (Gp) in response to material removal (MR) and surface roughness (Ra) of the finished sample using a design of experimental technique. Further, the corrosion performance of the finished samples has also been analyzed through simulated body fluid (SBF) testing.

Objectives: The quality of management of hyperuricemia has remained sub-optimal owing to unavoidable toxicities, limitations, and dearth of novel advances. Homeopathy has remained under-researched in hyperuricemia. We investigated the clinical effectiveness of three treatment regimens - individualized homeopathy (IH), mother tincture (UUMT), and both (IH + UUMT) along with lifestyle modifications in a sample of 90 patients with hyperuricemia.

Peak alpha frequency (PAF) is reported to be a nervous system property which is genetically endowed and reflected in individual's cognitive functioning. Cognitive performance denotes the mental processes for effective changes in response to situations in general and mental task in particular. None of the study has till now used reading comprehension as a measure of cognitive functioning, which is considered to be a measure of higher cognitive processes.

Techniques of behavior modification were employed to address the target behavior of functional excessive coughing-psychogenic cough in a 12-y-old boy referred by a pediatrician who found no identifiable medical reasons. To identify the purpose that maintains the behavior, functional behavior assessment was carried out and in order to reduce the frequency of target behavior, extinction and differential reinforcement of behavior analysis was incorporated. The management resulted in significant decrease of the target behavior of coughing without any medical intervention.

Background: Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)-associated acute lower respiratory infection is a common cause for hospitalization and hospital deaths in young children globally. There is urgent need to generate evidence to inform immunization policies when RSV vaccines become available. The WHO piloted a RSV surveillance strategy that leverages the existing capacities of the Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System (GISRS) to better understand RSV seasonality, high-risk groups, validate case definitions, and develop laboratory and surveillance standards for RSV.
