The objective of this study was to determine the efficacy of the PRECICE 2 nail in the treatment of lower limb length discrepancy in patients with a history of bone tumors. This study reports on outcomes, complications, and the safety of the PRECICE 2 limb lengthening nail in a cohort of pediatric patients with limb length discrepancy after surgery for bone tumors. Seventeen patients were treated with intramedullary magnetic nails.

Aims: To investigate the cross-sectional association between deep and superficial diabetic neuropathy, postural impairment assessed by wearable inertial sensors, and the risk of fall among patients with diabetic foot.
Methods: Diabetic patients attending a University Podiatric Clinic were evaluated for the presence of deep and superficial peripheral neuropathy in sensory tests. Postural impairment was assessed using a wearable inertial sensor, and the evaluation of balance/gait and risk of fall was determined by the Tinetti Scale and Downton Index, respectively.

In recent years, probiotics have been emerging as an attractive therapeutic strategy for several diseases. In orthopedics, probiotics seem to be a promising supplementation for treatment of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, muscle loss-related disease, wound and ulcer issues, and prevention of surgical antibiotic prophylaxis side effects. Although probiotics are still not included in guidelines for these conditions, several studies have reported theoretical benefits of their administration.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the in vivo kinematics of the same femoral design mechanically aligned posterior-stabilised (PS) total knee arthroplasty (TKA) with either fixed-bearing (FB) or mobile-bearing (MB) inlay, implanted by the same surgeon, using model-based dynamic radiostereometric analysis (RSA). The hypothesis of the present study was that the MB design would show wider axial rotation than the FB design, without affecting the clinical outcomes.
Materials And Methods: A cohort of 21 non-randomised patients (21 DePuy Attune PS-FB) was evaluated by dynamic RSA analysis at a minimum 9-month follow-up, while performing differently demanding daily living activities such as sit to stand (STS) and deep knee lunge (DKL).

Methods: Clinical outcomes were assessed pre- and postoperatively using the AOFAS, MOxFQ and VAS score. Pre and postoperative HV angle (HVA) and intermetatarsal angle (IMA) were measured.

Background: Retrograde drilling (RD) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure mainly used for non-displaced osteochondral lesions (OCL) of the talus, dealing with subchondral necrotic sclerotic lesions or subchondral cysts without inducing iatrogenic articular cartilage injury, allowing the revascularization of the subchondral bone and new bone formation.
Methods: This systematic review collected and analyzed the clinical studies of the last 10 years of literature, focusing not only on the clinical results but also on patients' related factors (gender, BMI, age and complications).
Results: Sixteen clinical studies were retrieved, and differences in the type of study, follow-up, number and age of patients, lesion type, dimensions, grades and comparison groups were observed, making it difficult to draw conclusions.

Bone marrow edema (BME) of the hip is a radiological-clinical condition with symptoms ranging from asymptomatic to severe, and it is characterized by increased interstitial fluid within the bone marrow, usually at the femur. Depending on the etiology it can be classified as primary or secondary. The primary cause of BME is unknown, while the secondary forms include traumatic, degenerative, inflammatory, vascular, infectious, metabolic, iatrogenic, and neoplastic etiologies.

Purpose: Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis (PVNS) is a proliferative disease arising from the synovial membrane, mainly affects large joints such as the knee (almost 80% of total). Prostheses implanted in PVNS osteoarthritis show a higher revision rate when compared to primary osteoarthritis, due to the recurrence of disease and the overall surgical complications. The purpose of this systematic review is to summarize and compare indications, clinical and functional outcomes, disease-related and surgical-related complications of total knee arthroplasty in PVNS osteoarthritis.

Introduction: Overcorrection is a possible complication of clubfoot treatment, whose prevalence varies from 5 to 67%. Overcorrected clubfoot usually presented as a complex flatfoot with different degrees of hindfoot valgus, flat top talus, dorsal bunion, and dorsal navicular subluxation. The management of clubfoot overcorrection is challenging, and both conservative and surgical treatments are available.
