Methods: We recruited 4180 patients with chronic HCV infection who achieved sustained virological response (SVR) (HCV eradication) through DAA therapy (n = 2501, SVR group) or who did not receive antiviral therapy (n = 1679, non-SVR group); 1236 from each group were chosen using propensity score matching. Causes of death and all-cause mortality, including non-liver-related diseases, were investigated.

A 79-year-old woman with a history of resection of the ascending colon cancer presented with conscious disturbance, dysarthria, nausea, and dizziness. Computed tomography (CT) revealed striking high-density lesions in the left cerebellum and left frontal lobe with slight perifocal edema. Compared to other 2D or 3D in vitro models, organoids are widely believed to be genetically stable or docile structures that can be programmed to virtually recapitulate certain biological, physiological, or pathophysiological features of original tissues or organs in vitro.
