Introduction: Nonfunctioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (NF-PanNET) ≤2 cm can be observed or resected. Surgery remains recommended for NF-PanNET >2 cm but its extent, enucleation (EN) versus formal resection, remains controversial.
Methods: Multicentric retrospective cohort of sporadic NF-PanNET patients treated with EN.

Real-life data on the impact of sacubitril-valsartan and sodium-glucose cotransporter type 2 (SGLT-2) inhibitors on heart failure (HF) in France is lacking. Using French health insurance databases, we examined the ten-year evolution in HF medication use, focusing on SGLT-2 inhibitors and sacubitril/valsartan, and incidence of HF hospitalizations during the same period. We conducted a repeated cross-sectional study using medical-administrative data from French health insurance databases between 2014 and 2023.

Background: The impact of geographical accessibility on cancer survival has been investigated in few studies, with most research focusing on access to reference care centers, using overall mortality and limited to specific cancer sites. This study aims to examine the association of access to primary care with mortality in excess of patients with the 10 most frequent cancers in France, while controlling for socioeconomic deprivation.
Methods: This study included a total of 151,984 cases diagnosed with the 10 most common cancer sites in 21 French cancer registries between 2013 and 2015.

Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) is a sight-threatening condition with rising global incidence. Identifying factors contributing to seasonal variations in RRD would allow a better understanding of RRD pathophysiology. We therefore performed a retrospective case series study investigating the relationship between RRD occurrence and meteorological factors throughout metropolitan France (the METEO-POC study), particularly the mean temperature over the preceding 10-day period (T-1).

Background: Mycosis fungoides (MF) usually has an indolent course. However, some patients develop more aggressive disease and few prognostic parameters have been identified. Isolated cases of pustular MF (pMF) suggest an unfavourable prognosis.

The Integrated Care for Older People (ICOPE) program is a healthcare pathway that uses a screening test for intrinsic capacity (IC) as its entry point. However, real-life data informing on how IC domains cluster and change over time, as well as their clinical utility, are lacking. Using primary healthcare screening data from more than 20,000 French adults 60 years of age or older, this study identified four clusters of IC impairment: 'Low impairment' (most prevalent), 'Cognition+Locomotion+Hearing+Vision', 'All IC impaired' and 'Psychology+Vitality+Vision'.

Aims: The cerebellum is a key structure in working and procedural memory. The aim of the present prospective exploratory study was to investigate, the metabolic characteristics of the cerebellum in posterior fossa tumor (PFT) survivors using 3D proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy imaging (3D MRSI), to determine whether metabolites could be useful biomarkers of memory impairment.
Materials And Methods: Sixty participants were included in the IMPALA study, divided into three groups: 22 irradiated PFT, 17 nonirradiated PFT, and 21 healthy controls matched with irradiated PFT for age, sex, and handedness.

Objective: To identify the articles in the existing literature that analyse healthcare costs according to the socioeconomic position (pre- or post-injury) for traumatic brain injury survivors. Secondary aims were to describe the types of costs and socioeconomic characteristics and to determine whether socioeconomic characteristics affect the risk of traumatic brain injury or whether the consequences of trauma alter living conditions post-injury.
Methods: This scoping review followed the methods proposed by Arksey and O'Malley.

Aim Of The Study: Emergency resuscitative thoracotomy (ERT) has been described as a potentially life-saving procedure for trauma patients who have been admitted in refractory shock or with recent loss of sign of life (SOL). This nationwide registry analysis aimed to describe the French practice of ERT.
Patients And Methods: From 2015 to 2021, all severe trauma patients who underwent ERT were extracted from the TraumaBase→ registry.

Growth and differentiation factor 15 (GDF15) has recently emerged as a weight loss and insulin-sensitizing factor. Growing evidence also supports a role for GDF15 as a physiological, exercise-induced stress signal. Here, we tested whether GDF15 is required for the insulin-sensitizing effects of exercise in mice and humans.

Background: We aimed to determine the epidemiology and outcomes of unplanned extubation (UE), both accidental and self-extubation, in ICU.
Methods: A multicentre prospective cohort study was conducted in 47 French ICUs. The number of mechanical ventilation (MV) days, and planned and unplanned extubation were recorded in each center over a minimum period of three consecutive months to evaluate UE incidence.

Chronic cough is a frequent disorder that is defined by cough of more than 8 weeks duration. Despite extensive investigation, some patients exhibit no aetiology and others do not respond to specific treatments directed against apparent causes of cough. Such patients are identified as having unexplained or refractory chronic cough.
