Rapid urbanization has led to a significant increase in water consumption and wastewater discharge. Balancing the relationship between urbanization development and water pollutants emissions is crucial for the sustainable development of the country. Given the uneven regional economic development and resource distribution in China, exploring the relationship between new urbanization and water pollution emissions cannot be limited to a single perspective such as population urbanization.

Solving the crash risk problem of corporate stock price caused by information asymmetry can mitigate the negative externality of its carbon emission to become green, low-carbon, and high-quality development. Green finance generally profoundly impacts micro-corporate economics and macro-financial systems but remains a giant puzzle of whether they can effectively resolve the crash risk. This paper examined the impact of green financial development on the stock price crash risk using the sample data of non-financial listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen A stock market in China from 2009 to 2020.

The initial emission rights allocation is the key measure to achieve the goal of total amount control and deepen the emission trading system. Although many studies have focused on the modeling of initial emission rights allocation, such as using game theory and multi-objective optimization methods, few studies have observed the hierarchical relationship of mutual interference and restriction between watershed management agency and local governments in each subarea during allocation. This relationship directly affects the rationality of the results of regional emission rights allocation.

With the influence of climate change resulting in more extreme days, a rise in the number of work-related injuries could be expected. The literature has addressed the performance evaluation of a work-related injury insurance (WII) system via a two-stage structure with input/output correlation as well as the impact of extreme temperatures under different scenarios. This article thus evaluates the performance of a system comprised of operational and service sub-systems under three scenarios of extreme temperatures and proposes a hybrid two-stage dynamic data envelopment analysis (DEA) model with nondiscretionary variables for measuring integrated WII efficiency under the three scenarios.

A new building filling materials (NBFM) using phosphogypsum and municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) fly ash is prepared in this paper. The effects of MSWI fly ash dosage and MSWI fly ash water washing pretreatment on mechanical properties, setting time, metal leaching, hydration products and microstructure of NBFM are analyzed by a range of experimental studies. The results indicate that the mechanical properties, setting time and the density of micro interface of NBFM are optimal when the MSWI fly ash dosage is 3%.

As a critical way to realize the optimal allocation of water environment capacity resources in the basin, emission rights trading faces multiple uncertainties, making it extremely hard and challenging to formulate appropriate decisions and plans. Therefore, this study uses interval two-stage stochastic programming (ITSP) method to model the emission rights trading process with multiple uncertainties. It can promote the secondary optimal allocation of the emission rights between the demander and the supplier after the initial allocation.

Modification of TiO by Er and rGO enhancing visible photocatalytic degradation of arsanilic acid.

Environ Sci Pollut Res Int

March 2023

Anhui Engineering Laboratory of Rural Water Environment and Resource, School of Civil Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, 230009, People's Republic of China.

As a typical wide band gap photocatalyst, titania (TiO) cannot use the visible light and has fast recombination rate of photogenerated electron-hole pairs. Simultaneous introduction of erbium ion (Er) and graphene oxide (rGO) into TiO might overcome these two drawbacks. In this study, Er and rGO were co-doped on TiO to synthesize Er-rGO/TiO photocatalyst through a two-step sol-gel method.

The effect of a pulsed magnetic field on the microstructure of a QAl9-4 aluminium bronze alloy was studied in this work. It was found that the dislocation density, grain boundary angle, and microhardness of the alloy significantly changed after the magnetic field treatment with a peak magnetic induction intensity of 3T, pulse duration of about 100 us, pulse interval of 10 s, and pulse time of 360. EBSD was used to test the KAM maps of the alloy microzone.

The question of whether appropriate decentralization can solve Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) misplacement caused by Entrepreneurial Characteristics (EC) is an interesting ethical puzzle. Because corporate behavior depends on the decision-making choices of executives whose personality characteristics affect the choice tendency, power distribution undoubtedly becomes a big boost for most businesses to work out the adverse externality problems. Based on Upper Echelons Theory, this study developed a comparative impact model linking the effects of entrepreneurial intrinsic nature and experience characteristics on CSR performance.

Identifying Organic Matter (OM) Types and Characterizing OM Pores in the Wufeng-Longmaxi Shales.

ACS Omega

November 2022

Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta T6E 2E3, Canada.

Organic matter (OM) pores are considered to be an important pore type in the Ordovician Wufeng-Silurian Longmaxi Formation shales in the Sichuan Basin, China, because they have a high capacity to store natural gas. However, to the best of our knowledge, research on the characterization and quantitation of different OM pore characteristics is insufficient. In this study, detailed optical microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM) observations and the pores/particles and cracks analysis system (PCAS) were applied to identify the OM pores and obtain quantitative information on pores such as pore size, surface porosity, form factor, and probability entropy.

An accurate carbon emissions map is of great significance for urban planning to reduce carbon emissions, mitigate the heat island effect, and avoid the impact of high temperatures on human health. However, little research has focused on carbon emissions maps at the land patch level, which makes poor integration with small and medium-sized urban planning based on land patches. In this study, a vectorization method for spatial allocation of carbon emissions at the land patch level was proposed.

Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Tongling University, Tongling, Anhui, China.

To address the issues of low detection accuracy and poor effect caused by small data samples and small target sizes. This article proposes the snails detection algorithm, the YOLOv5s-ECA-vfnet based on improved YOLOv5s, by using YOLOv5s as the basic target detection model and optimizing the loss function to improve target learning ability for specific regions. The experimental findings show that the snail detection method of the YOLOv5s-ECA-vfnet, the precision (P), the recall (R) and the mean Average Precision (mAP) of the algorithm are improved by 1.

August 2022

Institute of Molecular Engineering and Applied Chemistry, Anhui University of Technology, Ma'anshan 243002, China.

Polyacrylamide (PAM) was prepared by a new method of inverse microemulsion polymerization, with (NH)SO-NaSO as initiator and liquid paraffin/Span80-Op10/AM-HO-NaAc as polymerization system in this paper. The effects of initiator dosage, emulsifier dosage, monomer concentration, oil-water ratio, and temperature on molecular weight, electrical conductivity, particle size distribution, and monomer conversion were studied as well. The results indicate that that the more stable Polyacrylamide (PAM) polymer was prepared under the conditions of initiator dosage of 0.

As an innovative financing activity, online crowdfunding is characterized by extremely high information asymmetry. To reduce this information asymmetry, crowdfunding companies typically use information presentation, feedback, and other means to convey more information about the fundraising project to investors. Whether the information presentation and feedback affect the investment behavior of nonprofessional ordinary investors is yet to be determined.

Water stress in countries within a drainage basin exacerbates the water quantity conflict in transboundary rivers. However, few studies considered the invisible effect of virtual water transfer on water quantity conflict by intensifying water stress. Therefore, this study, with Ili River as the case, collects data on Virtual Water Trade (VWT) from 1990 to 2015, uses water stress index (WSI) to assess water stress values under two scenarios (with or without virtual water transfer), and takes Grey Verhulst Model to predict two scenarios water stress values respectively.
