Polyoxometalates (POMs) are a class of anionic metal-oxygen clusters with versatile biological activities. Over the past decade, an increasing number of POMs, especially Sb-rich POMs, have been proven to exert antitumor activity. However, the antitumor effects and mechanisms of POMs in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remain largely unexplored.

Glycyrrhetinic acid, a triterpenoid compound primarily sourced from licorice root, exhibits noteworthy biological attributes, including anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, antibacterial, antiviral, and antioxidant effects. Despite these commendable effects, its further advancement and application, especially in clinical use, have been hindered by its limited druggability, including challenges such as low solubility and bioavailability. To enhance its biological activity and pharmaceutical efficacy, numerous research studies focus on the structural modification, associated biological activity data, and underlying mechanisms of glycyrrhetinic acid and its derivatives.

Purpose: To analyze the clinical data and prognosis of patients with World Health Organization (WHO) functional class I pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

Methods: This research retrospectively analyzed the clinical data (baseline, laboratory as well as echocardiography and right heart catheterization data) of 63 class I PAH patients diagnosed and treated in the Department of Cardiology, First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, between January 2021 and June 2022. The mean follow-up time was 10.

Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a deadly neuroendocrine malignancy with high metastasis. However, the heterogeneity of metastatic SCLC at the single-cell level remains elusive. The single-cell transcriptome of a total of 24 081 cells in metastatic lymph node samples from seven SCLC patients via endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) is examined.

Pancreatic carcinoma (PC) has one of the highest mortality-to-incidence ratios of any solid tumor worldwide. Although KRAS mutation is commonly found in 95% of PCs, directly targeting KRAS remains to be a highly challenging task because of its lacking catalytic pockets where molecule inhibitors can bind with. Proteolysis-targeting chimeric (PROTAC) represents an effective approach for specific degradation of disease-causing proteins by hijacking the endogenous ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS).

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) played in authentic biological cell roles such as cell apoptosis, cycle, differentiation, development, migration and invasion. However, the expression pattern and function of a new lncRNA LINC01296 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are unknown and need to be studied. In our study, we indicate that the expression of LINC01296 was overexpressed in NSCLC samples compared to adjacent non-tumor tissues.

This study aims to identify the pivotal microRNAs (miRNAs) and genes, and their potential regulatory mechanisms in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) through bioinformatics analysis and experimental verification. We comprehensively analyzed two miRNA microarray datasets (GSE32678 and GSE43796) and three gene microarray datasets (GSE28735, GSE41368 and GSE71989), which were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, and identified the total of 8 differentially expressed miRNAs (DEMs) and 257 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in common. Next, a new miRNA-mRNA regulatory network was constructed by bioinformatics methods, including 7 miRNAs, 58 putative target genes and 80 interaction pairs of miRNA-mRNA.

The posterior tibial plateau fracture is drawing increasing attention from orthopedists in recent years with the popularity of CT. However, due to the particular and severity of posterior tibial plateau fracture, there is still controversy in its classification and treatment. It is very difficult to achieve the ideal reduction and fixation by conventional techniques and approaches.
