Accurate and selective techniques for visualizing endogenous peroxynitrite (ONOO) in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury (CIRI) models are essential for understanding its complex pathological processes. Here, we introduced a longwave fluorescent probe TJO for detecting ONOO rapidly and sensitively, with a low detection limit of 91 nM. Furthermore, TJO exhibits excellent fluorescence imaging capabilities, enabling detailed visualization of ONOO⁻ in CIRI mice model.

Background: Depression presents sexual dimorphism, and one important factor that increases the frequency of depression and contributes to sex-specific variations in its presentation is obesity. The conventional use of Body Mass Index (BMI) as an indicator of obesity is inherently limited due to its inability to distinguish between fat and lean mass, which limits its predictive utility for depression risk. A novel dual fixation method for improving the reliable assessment of pulmonary vascular morphology in pulmonary hypertension rats.

This study introduced a novel dual fixation method for the pulmonary vasculature and lung tissue in pulmonary hypertension (PH) rats, addressing the limitations of traditional fixation methods that failed to accurately preserve the in vivo status of pulmonary vascular morphology. The modified method involved a dual fixation process, combining individualized ventilation support and vascular perfusion to simulate the respiratory motion, pulmonary artery pressure and right ventricular output of the rat under in vivo conditions. Utilizing a monocrotaline-induced PH rat model, this study compared the dual fixation with the traditional immersion fixation, focusing on the quantitative assessment of alveolar expansion degree, capillary patency, endothelial cell quantity and wall thickness of pulmonary vein and artery.

Interprofessional teaching rounds are a practical application of interprofessional education in bedside teaching, yet there is a lack of research on how interprofessional teaching rounds should be implemented into medical education. This study aimed to describe our experience in developing and implementing interprofessional teaching rounds during a clerkship rotation for medical students, and compares its strengths and weaknesses relative to traditional teaching rounds.
