To identify genetic alterations associated with tongue cancer recurrence in young adults, whole exome sequencing of the primary tumor, recurrence, and whole blood samples from young patients with tongue cancer was performed. A frameshift mutation in the TP53 gene was detected in the primary tumor and recurrence tumor tissue. A mutation in the EPHB6 gene was detected in the recurrence and was absent in the primary tumor.

The neuroprotective activity of tryptanthrin and its oxime was compared in male Wistar rats with a model of intraluminal occlusion of the middle cerebral artery. Neurobehavioral tests were performed 4, 24, and 48 h after focal cerebral infarction (FCI) using a modified neurological severity score (mNSS); additionally, the horizontal stability test, the plantar sensitivity test of the fore and hind limbs, holding on the tilted cage top test, and negative geotaxis test were performed. The data on the synthesis of N-aminomorpholine hydrazones are presented. It is shown that the interaction of N-aminomorpholine with functionally substituted benzaldehydes and 4-pyridinaldehyde in isopropyl alcohol leads to the formation of corresponding hydrazones. The structure-directing "key-to-lock" interaction of double σ-(I)-hole donating iodonium cations with the O-flanked pseudo-lacune rims of [β-MoO] gives halogen-bonded iodonium-beta-octamolybate supramolecular associates. In the occurrence of their tetragonal pyramidal motifs, deep and broad σ-(I)-holes of a cation recognize the molybdate backbone, which provides an electronic pool localized around the two lacunae. The thymus represents a primary organ of the immune system, harboring the generation and maturation of T lymphocytes. Starting from childhood, the thymus undergoes involution, being replaced with adipose tissue, and by an advanced age nearly all the thymus parenchyma is represented by adipocytes. This decline of thymic function is associated with compromised maturation and selection of T lymphocytes, which may directly impact the development of inflammation and induce various autoinflammatory disorders, including atherosclerosis.

Squamous cell lung cancer (SCLC) occurs as a result of dysregenerative changes in the bronchial epithelium: basal cell hyperplasia (BCH), squamous cell metaplasia (SM), and dysplasia. We previously suggested that combinations of precancerous changes detected in the small bronchi of patients with SCLC may reflect various "scenarios" of the precancerous process: isolated BCH→stopping at the stage of hyperplasia, BCH+SM→progression of hyperplasia into metaplasia, SM+dysplasia→progression of metaplasia into dysplasia.
