Upper Limit on the Photoproduction Cross Section of the Spin-Exotic π_{1}(1600).

The spin-exotic hybrid meson π_{1}(1600) is predicted to have a large decay rate to the ωππ final state. Using 76.6  pb^{-1} of data collected with the GlueX detector, we measure the cross sections for the reactions γp→ωπ^{+}π^{-}p, γp→ωπ^{0}π^{0}p, and γp→ωπ^{-}π^{0}Δ^{++} in the range E_{γ}=8-10  GeV.

The paper presents the results of modern research on the effects of electromagnetic terahertz radiation in the frequency range 0.5-100 THz at different levels of power density and exposure time on the viability of normal and cancer cells. As an accompanying tool for monitoring the effect of radiation on biological cells and tissues, spectroscopic research methods in the terahertz frequency range are described, and attention is focused on the possibility of using the spectra of interstitial water as a marker of pathological processes.

Seadornavirus is a genus of mosquito-borne viruses that includes Banna virus, which was first discovered in human patients with encephalitis and fever, as well as Kadipiro virus and Liao ning virus. In this study, we used metagenomics to investigate the diversity of viruses in wild ducks and detected both Banna virus and Kadipiro virus in wild birds in Siberia. These data suggest that seadornaviruses, which were previously only found in South East Asia, are also circulating in Northern Eurasia.

The excessive extracellular matrix (ECM) in solid tumors significantly inhibits the deep penetration and homogeneous distribution of nanodrugs, which greatly reduces the therapeutic efficacy. In the present work, an injectable polyelectrolyte hydrogel (CD@IPH) containing collagenase and doxorubicin-loaded polyacrylic acid@polyaniline nanoparticles (DOX@NP) were developed for improved photothermal and chemotherapy. The collagenase is released quickly from the polyelectrolyte hydrogel in the first 12 h, effectively degrading ECM and enhancing the deep penetration and evenly distribution of DOX@NP in tumor tissues.

A comparative metabolomic study of three varieties of wild Rosa (, , and ) from a Kamchatka expedition (2024) was conducted via extraction with supercritical carbon dioxide modified with ethanol (EtOH), and detection of bioactive compounds was realized via tandem mass spectrometry. Several experimental conditions were investigated in the pressure range 50-350 bar, with the used volume of co-solvent ethanol in the amount of 2% in the liquid phase at a temperature in the range of 31-70 °C. FoxP3 T-regulatory (Treg) lymphocytes and cytokine production by cells from the stromal vascular fraction (SVF) of epicardial (EAT) and thymus (TAT) adipose tissue of 42 patients with chronic coronary heart disease (CHD) were studied. In the SVF of TAT in patients with Gensini Score (GS)≥74 (the most severe atherosclerosis), the production of IL-1β, TNF, IL-4, and IFNγ was higher, while FoxP3 translocation into the nucleus was lower than in patients with GS<74. The GS index directly correlated with the production of IL-4, IL-1β, and TNF by cells of the SVF of TAT, and inversely - with the production of TNF, IL-17, and IL-10 by cells of the SVF of EAT.

We studied the effect of reprogrammed CD8 T cells (rT cells) from the bone marrow of intact mice on tumor cells and neovasculogenesis in mice with orthotopic Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC). Reprogramming of T cells was carried out using a MEK inhibitor and a PD-1 blocker; the targeting of rT cells to tumor cells was achieved by preincubation with LLC cell lysate. It was shown that the antitumor effect of rT cells was based on apoptosis of tumor cells.
