Background: The first year of life is the period of greatest brain plasticity. Postpartum depression can adversely affect the first interactions with the child and, consequently, their emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Objectives: First, to describe the developmental profile of six-month-old infants of mothers suffering from severe postpartum depression, and, second, to compare the development of infants whose mothers suffer from depression with or without bipolar disorder.

We compared the outcomes of two groups of patients with scaphoid nonunion treated with arthroscopic cancellous bone grafting. In group 1, K-wires were introduced beforehand and in group 2 after debridement and packing bone grafts in the nonunion site. Our hypothesis was that the percentage of unions would be higher in group 2.

Purpose: To develop an improved post-processing pipeline for noise-robust accelerated phase-cycled Cartesian Single (SQ) and Triple Quantum (TQ) sodium (Na) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of in vivo human brain at 7 T.
Theory And Methods: Our pipeline aims to tackle the challenges of Na Multi-Quantum Coherences (MQC) MRI including low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and time-consuming Radiofrequency (RF) phase-cycling. Our method combines low-rank k-space denoising for SNR enhancement with Dynamic Mode Decomposition (DMD) to robustly separate SQ and TQ signal components.

Importance: Depressive symptoms are associated with cognitive decline in older individuals. Uncertainty about underlying mechanisms hampers diagnostic and therapeutic efforts. This large-scale study aimed to elucidate the association between depressive symptoms and amyloid pathology.

Introduction: Hemorrhoidal artery embolization, also known as Emborrhoid, has emerged in recent years as a minimally invasive treatment option for patients with recurrent and unresponsive to medical therapies hemorrhoidal bleeding symptoms. We present here an overview of the profile of rectal artery embolization based on the most relevant and recent literature.
Methods: A comprehensive review of literature on Hemorrhoidal artery embolization, was conducted on PubMed-Medline.

We describe pulmonary cryptococcosis in a 28-year-old previously healthy man. Exhaustive immunological investigations revealed a primary NK cell deficiency associated with a secondary impaired anti-Cryptococcus CD8 lymphocyte response and the expansion of a CD8Vβ14 + T cell clone. This case illustrates the potential role of NK cells in immunity against Cryptococcus.

Background: Candidate biomarkers to improve venous thromboembolism (VTE) risk prediction in patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM) undergoing anti-myeloma therapy include tissue factor-bearing microvesicles (MV-TF), procoagulant phospholipids (procoag-PPL), and D-dimer.
Objective: We aimed to determine the levels of MV-TF, procoag-PPL, and D-dimer at baseline and during initial anti-myeloma therapy and their association with the risk of VTE.
Methods: This prospective, longitudinal, observational study included 71 patients with newly diagnosed MM who were eligible for anti-myeloma therapy.

The purpose of this paper is to make easily available to the scientific community an efficient voice morphing tool called STRAIGHTMORPH and provide a short tutorial on its use with examples. STRAIGHTMORPH consists of a set of Matlab functions allowing the generation of high-quality, parametrically-controlled morphs of an arbitrary number of voice samples. A first step consists in extracting an 'mObject' for each voice sample, with accurate tracking of the fundamental frequency contour and manual definition of Time and Frequency anchors corresponding across samples to be morphed.

Purpose: Radiomics-based machine learning (ML) models of amino acid positron emission tomography (PET) images have shown efficiency in glioma prediction tasks. However, their clinical impact on physician interpretation remains limited. This study investigated whether an explainable radiomics model modifies nuclear physicians' assessment of glioma aggressiveness at diagnosis.

Around 10% of cases of primary hyperparathyroidism are thought to be genetic in origin, some of which are part of a syndromic form such as multiple endocrine neoplasia types 1, 2A or 4 or hyperparathyroidism-jaw tumor syndrome, while the remainder are cases of isolated familial primary hyperparathyroidism. Recognition of these genetic forms is important to ensure appropriate management according to the gene and type of variant involved, but screening for a genetic cause is not justified in all patients presenting primary hyperparathyroidism. The indications for genetic analysis have made it possible to propose a decision tree that takes into account whether the presentation is familial or sporadic, syndromic or isolated, patient age, and histopathological type of parathyroid lesion.

In over 80% of cases, primary hyperparathyroidism results from hypersecretion of PTH by a single parathyroid adenoma. Multi-glandular involvement, combining adenoma and/or hyperplasia in varying proportions, is also possible, although less frequent. When the diagnosis of hyperparathyroidism is certain and surgery is envisaged, imaging is useful for locating the hyperfunctioning gland or glands.

Objective: Flow diversion is increasingly used as an endovascular treatment for intracranial aneurysms. FRED-EPI is a prospective, multicenter, French study, conducted to analyze the safety and efficacy of aneurysm treatment with FRED/FRED Jr (Microvention, AlisoViejo, CA, USA) in current clinical practice.
Patients And Methods: Patients with intracranial aneurysms treated with FRED and FRED Jr who agreed to participate were prospectively and consecutively included in all French centers using these devices.

Clinical pharmacology studies are critical for determining the efficacy and safety of drugs. Due to the resource-intensive nature of these studies, most have been conducted in high-income countries, leading to a significant gap in clinical pharmacology data for patients in low- and middle-income countries. This paper provides an overview of the minimal requirements for performing a clinical pharmacology investigator-initiated trial (IIT), including pharmacokinetic sampling.

Background: The early mortality of trauma patients, mainly from hemorrhagic shock, raises interest in detecting the presence of non-exteriorized bleeding. Intra-hospital EFAST (Extended Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma) has demonstrated its utility in the assessment and management of severe trauma patients (STP). However, there is a lack of data regarding the diagnostic performance of prehospital EFAST (pEFAST).

Background And Purpose: Degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) is the most common cause of spinal cord (SC) dysfunction. In routine clinical practice, SC changes are well depicted using conventional MRI, especially T2-weighted imaging. However, this modality usually fails to provide satisfactory clinico-radiological correlations.
