Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) exposure often causes serious food safety problems and illnesses in humans and animals, even at extremely low content. Therefore, effective degradation of AFB1 is vitally significant. Biodegradation by enzymes is an effective method to eliminate hazardous toxins, but the degradation efficiency and cost of the enzyme limit its wide application.

Purpose: To develop an MRI-based multiregional radiomics model for the noninvasive desmoplastic reaction (DR) classification and prognosis stratification in stage II rectal cancer (RC) patients.
Materials And Methods: This study retrospectively involved 336 patients with RC from two centers, with 239 from Center 1 divided into training (n = 191) and internal validation (n = 48) datasets at an 8:2 ratio, and 97 from Center 2 serving as external validation dataset. Radiomics features were extracted, and a multiregional radiomics DR (M-RDR) signature was established using multi-level feature selection procedure.

Xueshuan Xinmaining Tablets and Capsules are two Chinese patent medicines with the same prescription, different preparation methods but the same function of replenishing Qi, activating blood, opening orifices, and relieving pain. Xueshuan Xinmaining Capsules were qualitatively analyzed by UPLC-Q/TOF-MS for the first time, and 61 compounds were identified, including 9 phenolic acids, 10 bufadienolides, 15 saponins, 5 bile acids, and 22 other compounds. The chemical composition was slightly different between Xueshuan Xinmaining Tablets and Capsules.

This article systematically analyzes the differences in diagnostic and treatment principles, material composition, new drug development pathways, efficacy cognition, and evaluation methodology between Chinese and Western medicine from the underlying logic of medical perspective. On this basis, it integrates the evidence elements of clinical experience, experimental research, and clinical trials, and for the first time proposes and establishes a new strategy and methodology for the evaluation of the effectiveness of TCM: the integrated evidence chain-based effectiveness evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine(iEC-Eff), forming an integrated evaluation and confirmation model of "clinical experience-experimental research-clinical trial" for the effectiveness of TCM.

UDP-glucuronosyltransferases(UGTs) are the main phase Ⅱ metabolizing enzymes in the human body, participating in the glucuronidation of various chemicals in the body. Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) ingredients affect the activities of UGTs involved in drug metabolism, and the fluctuations in the blood concentrations of drugs metabolized by UGTs will lead to the risk of TCM-TCM or TCM-chemical drug interaction, which will cause drug safety problems and affect drug efficacy. Therefore, it is essential to explore the effect of TCM ingredients on the activities of UGTs.

As research into the mechanisms of orthopedic diseases continues to deepen, the shortcomings of traditional single-target the-rapies are becoming increasingly apparent. Consequently, the search for multi-target drugs has become the mainstream research direction for orthopedics-related diseases. Artemisinin, a sesquiterpene lactone compound extracted from Artemisia annua, has led to the gradual synthesis of various derivatives such as dihydroartemisinin, artesunate, artemether, and arteether.

Atherosclerosis (AS) is a major etiological factor underpinning a spectrum of cardiovascular diseases, leading to cerebral infarction, coronary artery disease, and peripheral vascular disease. The chronic progression of AS, spanning from initial plaque formation to the occurrence of acute cardiovascular events, underscores the complexity of AS and the challenges it presents in terms of treatment. Currently, the clinical management of AS relies predominantly on statins and proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 inhibitors, which primarily aim to reduce low-density lipoprotein levels and have demonstrated some therapeutic efficacy.
