Objective: The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of acupuncture plus routine treatment (RT) for acute pancreatitis (AP).

Methods: Literature searches were performed in 8 databases up to October 31, 2018. Randomized controlled trials comparing acupuncture plus RT with RT alone for AP were included.

Adjuvant chemoradiotherapy vs. radiotherapy alone in early-stage high-risk endometrial cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Objective: The benefits of adjuvant chemoradiotherapy (CRT) in patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stages I-II high-risk endometrial cancer remain controversial. We undertook a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the efficacy of CRT over radiotherapy (RT) in patients with early-stage high-risk endometrial cancer.

Aims: This observational study aimed to investigate the effects of renin-angiotensin system (RAS) blockers on plasma adiponectin in subjects with metabolic syndrome (Mets) and differentiation, adiponectin expression of human omental (OM) and subcutaneous (SC) preadipocytes.

Methods: Fifty-three patients with Mets were treated with angiotensin converting enzyme inhibition (ACEI), angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) or nothing, lipid profile and adiponetin were measured.
