As an indispensable trace metal element in the organism, copper acts as a key catalytic cofactor in a wide range of biological processes. Copper homeostasis disorders can be caused by either copper excess or deficiency, and copper homeostasis disorders will affect the normal physiological functions of cells and induce cell death through a variety of mechanisms, such as the emerging cuproptosis model. The imbalance of copper homeostasis will lead to the occurrence of cancer, and copper is a key factor in cell signalling, so copper is involved in the development of cancer by promoting cell proliferation, angiogenesis and metastasis, etc.

Constipation is a common and prevalent digestive system disease in clinical practice, which seriously affects human physical and mental health. Currently, chemical drugs have good short-term therapeutic effects. However, because of their adverse reactions, easy recurrence after drug discontinuation, and dependence with long-term use, the long-term efficacy is unsatisfactory.

The traditional method of acetamiprid residue detection is difficult to operate, time-consuming, laborious and requires high professional knowledge of the detection personnel, which cannot meet the requirement of on-field rapid detection. For this reason, a colorimetric aptasensor based on an entropy-catalyzed amplification system was developed for the ultrasensitive and selective determination of acetamiprid. In the absence of acetamiprid, the aptamer and cDNA form a double-stranded structure.

Insulin resistance (IR) is an important risk factor for obesity and cardiometabolic diseases, and our previous findings have demonstrated that visceral fat area to skeletal muscle mass ratio (VSR) is significantly and positively associated with the risk of cardiometabolic diseases. Hence, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between VSR and multiorgan IR, provide a new approach to improve body composition, and set the basis for VSR to increase the incidence of cardiometabolic diseases. The study included 398 patients who underwent anthropometric and biochemical measurements, and body composition assessment.

Decoding semantic concepts for imagination and perception tasks (SCIP) is important for rehabilitation medicine as well as cognitive neuroscience. Electroencephalogram (EEG) is commonly used in the relevant fields, because it is a low-cost noninvasive technique with high temporal resolution. However, as EEG signals contain a high noise level resulting in a low signal-to-noise ratio, it makes decoding EEG-based semantic concepts for imagination and perception tasks (SCIP-EEG) challenging.
