Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is characterized by poor responsiveness to immune evasion and immunotherapy. RNA 7-methylguanine (m7G) modification plays a key role in tumorigenesis. However, the mechanisms by which m7G-modified RNA metabolism affects tumor progression are not fully understood, nor is the contribution of m7G-modified RNA to the CRC immune microenvironment.

Immunochemotherapy is Currently the standard first-line treatment for advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). However, its prognosis remains unsatisfactory. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of immunochemotherapy plus radiotherapy (ICR) compared with immunochemotherapy (IC) alone as a first-line treatment for advanced ESCC.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a lethal malignancy characterized by rapid growth. The interaction between tumor cells and cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) significantly influences HCC progression. CCL15, a CC chemokine family member, is predominantly expressed in HCC and strongly correlates with tumor size, indicating its critical role in HCC growth.

In this study, the interaction of crebanine, an isoquinoline alkaloid, with immunoglobulin G (IgG) was evaluated. Subsequently, the anticancer effects of crebanine in MCF-7 breast cancer cells were assessed. The results demonstrate that static quenching plays a key role in the fluorescence quenching of the IgG by crebanine, and some embedded hydrophobic patches of the IgG are exposed upon interaction with crebanine, while the characteristic β-sheet conformation of the IgG was almost preserved.

Gastric mixed adenoneuroendocrine carcinoma (MANEC) is a rare and highly aggressive malignancy characterized by both exocrine and neuroendocrine components. Treatment options for metastatic cases are limited, with typical therapeutic approaches involving a combination of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. A 68-year-old male with metastatic gastric MANEC was treated with targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy, including S-1, apatinib, cadonilimab, and paclitaxel.

Up to half of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage, for which effective treatment options are lacking, resulting in a poor prognosis. Over the past few years, the combination of immune checkpoint inhibitors and anti-angiogenic targeted therapy has proven highly efficacious in treating advanced HCC, significantly extending patients' survival and providing a potential for sequential curative surgery. After sequential curative hepatectomy or liver transplantation following conversion therapy, patients can receive long-term survival benefits.

Wound healing is a dynamic and complex process involving hemostasis, inflammation, fibroblast proliferation, and tissue remodeling. This process is highly susceptible to bacterial infection, which often leads to impaired and delayed wound repair. While antibiotic therapy remains the primary clinical approach for treating bacteria-infected wounds, its widespread use poses a significant risk of developing bacterial resistance.

Nerves are often overlooked as key components of the tumor microenvironment. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the reciprocal interactions between tumors and nerves remain largely unknown. In this study, we analyzed data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and identified a significant association between DKK1 expression and poor prognosis, as well as a correlation between DKK1 expression and myeloid-derived suppressor cell (MDSC) infiltration in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), two cancer types characterized by pronounced tumor-nerve interactions.

Senescent cells are in a stable state of cell cycle arrest, leading to a natural barrier to tumorigenesis. Senescent cells secrete a pool of molecules, including cytokines, chemokines, proteases, and growth factors, termed the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), paradoxically contributing to pro-tumorigenic processes. However, the mechanism for regulating senescence and SASP in tumor cells remains unclear.

Introduction: Relapsed or refractory extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (R/R ENKTL) is a rare and aggressive subtype arising from natural killer or cytotoxic T-cells, predominantly affecting the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, lacking a standardized therapeutic approach. Sugemalimab, a fully human, full-length anti-PD-L1 immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) monoclonal antibody (mAb), has been investigated in a Single-Arm, Multicenter, Phase II Study (GEMSTONE-201). The results demonstrated significant efficacy, favorable tolerability, and manageable adverse reactions of sugemalimab in R/R ENKTL.

Colorectal cancer is a common malignant tumor, whose growth and metastasis are influenced by numerous factors. MicroRNAs have garnered increasing attention in recent years due to their involvement in tumor development. Exosomes are involved in intercellular signaling and influence tumor development by promoting tumor cell proliferation and metastasis through activation of angiogenesis and other mechanisms.

At present, there is still a lack of effective treatment strategies for cancer metastasis and drug resistance, so finding effective biomarkers is particularly important. AnnexinA2 (ANXA2), a vital membrane protein, critically influences cancer progression, tumor invasion, and tumor microenvironment modulation. To assess the possible application of ANXA2 as a therapeutic target against cancer cell metastasis and drug resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs in the tumor microenvironment, we elucidated the functionality of ANXA2 in stromal cells, angiogenic vascular cells, and infiltrated immune cells that mediate metastasis and drug resistance, as well as its potential as a therapeutic target.

Background: The rare incidence of small cell carcinoma of the esophagus (SCCE) makes prospective studies difficult to conduct, the efficacy of existing standard treatment regimens for SCCE is therefore highly controversial. This study aimed to explore differences in the efficacy of three different treatment regimens [upfront surgery, neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NCT), and chemoradiotherapy (CRT)] in patients with limited-stage SCCE (LS-SCCE).
Methods: In total, 483 patients with LS-SCCE were screened from five centers from June 2001 to June 2020, and 128 patients with LS-SCCE were screened from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database.

As a distinctive class of porphyrin derivatives, corroles offer exceptional potential in phototherapy applications owing to their unique electronic structures. However, developing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) that incorporate photosensitive corroles as functional ligands for synergistic phototherapy remains a formidable challenge. Herein, for the first time, the unique phosphorus corrole-based MOFs Cor(P)-Hf with (3,18)-connected gea topology are reported, which are constructed by Cs-symmetric dicarboxylate 3-connected linkers, 10-pentafluorophenyl-5,15-di(p-benzoate)phosphorus corrole (Cor(P)), and the peculiar D-symmetric 18-connected Hf-oxo clusters.
