In this study, the interaction of crebanine, an isoquinoline alkaloid, with immunoglobulin G (IgG) was evaluated. Subsequently, the anticancer effects of crebanine in MCF-7 breast cancer cells were assessed. The results demonstrate that static quenching plays a key role in the fluorescence quenching of the IgG by crebanine, and some embedded hydrophobic patches of the IgG are exposed upon interaction with crebanine, while the characteristic β-sheet conformation of the IgG was almost preserved.

Up to half of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage, for which effective treatment options are lacking, resulting in a poor prognosis. Over the past few years, the combination of immune checkpoint inhibitors and anti-angiogenic targeted therapy has proven highly efficacious in treating advanced HCC, significantly extending patients' survival and providing a potential for sequential curative surgery. Sugemalimab, a fully human, full-length anti-PD-L1 immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) monoclonal antibody (mAb), has been investigated in a Single-Arm, Multicenter, Phase II Study (GEMSTONE-201). The results demonstrated significant efficacy, favorable tolerability, and manageable adverse reactions of sugemalimab in R/R ENKTL.

After undergoing concurrent chemoradiotherapy, the patient received six cycles of treatment with toripalimab in combination with paclitaxel and platinum-based agents.
