Rationale: This study aims to present a novel surgical approach for the resection of anterior mediastinal tumors, specifically focusing on micronodular thymoma with lymphoid stroma (MNT), a rare and distinct variant of thymoma. The single subxiphoid incision technique, although reported in limited cases, offers a minimally invasive option with potential benefits. We report the case of a 76-year-old male who underwent this innovative procedure and was diagnosed with MNT, providing insight into the management and outcomes of this rare pathology.

This review article comprehensively examines the diagnostic approach to thymic epithelial tumors (TETs) and other mediastinal masses, focusing on imaging modalities and differential diagnosis. Beginning with a discussion on traditional and contemporary classification systems for mediastinal tumors, including the Japanese Association for Research on the Thymus (JART) and International Thymic Interest Group (ITMIG) classifications, it highlights the shift towards computed tomography (CT)-based categorizations. Emphasis is placed on the importance of distinguishing between solid and cystic lesions in the anterior mediastinum, with detailed insights into imaging characteristics and histological features of various TET subtypes such as thymomas, thymic carcinomas, and thymic neuroendocrine tumors (NETs).

Introduction: The thymus normally forms in the neck from the third pharyngeal pouch and descends to its normal position in the mediastinum. Arrest of descent or sequestration of thymic tissue can occur at any point along its path leading to an ectopic thymus which can present as a neck mass, usually in the paediatric age group.
Purpose And Case Report: Ultrasound is generally performed in the presence of a neck mass in children.

This study aims to explore the effect of Lycii Fructus and Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma(LFSMR), a drug pair possesses the function of nourishing Yin, promoting blood circulation, and brightening the eyes, in treating retinitis pigmentosa(RP)by inhibiting the gliosis of Müller cells(MCs) and inducing their reprogramming and differentiation into various types of retinal nerve cells. Twelve C57 mice were used as the normal control group, and 48 transgenic RP(rd10) mice were randomly divided into the model group, positive control group, and low and high dose LFSMR groups, with 12 mice in each group. HE staining was used to detect pathological changes in the retina, and an electroretinogram was used to detect retinal function.

Introduction: Surgery remains the primary treatment modality for thymic carcinoma, with adjuvant radiotherapy being recommended to effectively mitigate local recurrence and metastasis rates subsequent to incomplete or complete resection. Chemoradiotherapy has the potential to induce coronary artery occlusion, thereby potentially impacting patients' long-term survival rates. The existing literature currently lacks comprehensive research on the lesion characteristics of coronary artery injury resulting from chemoradiotherapy.

Due to the rising demand in cross-sectional thoracic imaging, anterior mediastinal lesions are being identified with increasing frequency. Following iterative and multidisciplinary discussions, the BTOG Thymic Malignancies Special Interest Group have developed an algorithm to standardise the diagnostic approach for these relatively uncommon but important conditions which span from benign (thymic remnant, thymic hyperplasia and thymic cysts) to suspected localised thymomas to suspected more aggressive malignancy (thymic carcinoma, lymphoma and germ cell tumours). For each condition, we provide a brief description, an overview of the key radiological findings and a description of the proposed algorithm including the rationale behind the recommendations.
