This study investigates the effects of rt-PA thrombolytic therapy at varying times on neurological function and complications in acute cerebral infarction (ACI) patients. A total of 120 ACI patients admitted between August 2019 and July 2021 were divided into three groups based on the timing of rt-PA treatment: <3h (40 patients), 3-4.5h (55 patients), and >4.

Background: This study seeks to investigate the contemporary use and effectiveness of fibrinolysis as a first-line option in pediatric empyema.
Methods: The Pediatric Health Information System (PHIS) was queried to identify patients with empyema without fistula (2018-2023). First-line treatments were chest drainage (CD), chest drainage with fibrinolysis (CDF), and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery/open decortication (VATS/OD).

Objective: Thrombolytic therapy is the primary treatment for acute ischemic stroke. Extending the therapeutic time window can effectively reduce the harmful side effects associated with thrombolytic therapy. Although electroacupuncture (EA) has been shown to extend this time window, the specific mechanisms remain unclear.

The angioedema risk may vary among stroke patients receiving different thrombolytic agents. This study aimed to investigate the angioedema risk associated with different thrombolytic agents and to identify associated risk factors. We conducted a large-scale retrospective pharmacovigilance study using the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database.

Objectives: To explore a novel model of mobile stroke units (MSUs) integrated with rural emergency medical stations for pre-hospital care of stroke patients in remote areas.
Methods: We used MSUs + Ambulance mode, where both the MSUs and conventional ambulances are sent to the patient's location. The conventional ambulance coordinates with the MSUs to choose the fastest route to meet and transfer the patient at the point along the way.

The hypoperfusion intensity ratio (HIR) is a quantitative metric used in vascular occlusion imaging to evaluate the extent of brain tissue at risk due to hypoperfusion. Defined as the ratio of tissue volume with a time-to-maximum (Tmax) of >10 seconds to that of >6 seconds, HIR assists in differentiating between the salvageable penumbra and the irreversibly injured core infarct. This review explores the role of HIR in assessing clinical outcomes and guiding treatment strategies, including mechanical thrombectomy and thrombolytic therapy, for patients with large vessel occlusions (LVOs).

Minor strokes, which account for about 50 % of all ischemic strokes are not necessarily benign and carry a substantial risk of long-term disability. Due to persisting uncertainties regarding optimal recanalization strategies mild strokes may represent a therapeutical challenge for clinicians. The aim of this review is to provide an overview of the current state of knowledge and questions remaining to be answered.

Rationale: Stroke is a relatively frequent complication occurring in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The increasing number of patients with Ischemic Stroke secondary to SLE aroused the clinician's concern. SLE thrombosis markers, diagnostic high-resolution magnetic resonance image (HR-MRI), and therapeutic interventions for acute ischemic stroke were recently coming into focus perspectives from the field.

The incidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is increasing with aging, which needs a screening and monitoring biomarker. This study focused on the significance of aging- and angiogenesis-related lncRNA RAMP2-AS1 (RAMP2-AS1) aiming to identify a promising biomarker for the incidence of DVT. Serum samples were collected from 63 healthy individuals and 98 patients with DVT.

Background: There is a lack of health economics studies on the treatment of acute lower extremity deep venous thrombosis to measure the benefits to patients. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of anticoagulation (AC), percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy (PMT), and catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDT).
Methods: The above 3 methods were selected according to the patient's treatment wishes.
Spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma (SSEH) is a rare cause of neck pain and hemiparesis. Clinicians should keep SSEH in mind as a rare stroke mimic presenting with hemiparesis to avoid needless and potentially hazardous thrombolytic therapy. Taking a careful history is useful for making a correct diagnosis.

Catheter-directed thrombolysis reduces the thrombolytic time and dose of thrombolytic drugs without affecting the thrombolytic effect to ensure that bleeding does not occur. This helps clinicians choose safer CDT treatments for their patients. We combine the historical process of catheter-directed thrombolytic therapy for VTE and prospect the future development of CDT.

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a serious health condition and represents an important cause of morbidity and, in some cases, mortality due to the lack of effective treatment options. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 3 out of 10 people with VTE will have recurrence of a clotting event within ten years, presenting a significant unmet medical need. For some VTE patients, symptoms can last longer and have a higher than average risk of serious complications; in contrast, others may experience complications arising from insufficient therapies.

In the treatment of thrombosis, conventional nanocarriers inevitably have problems, such as adverse reactions and difficulties in synthesis. Inspired by the concept of 'medicine food homology,' we extracted and purified natural exosomes from mulberry leaves as carriers for the delivery of urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA) for targeted therapy. The obtained mulberry leaf exosomes (MLE) possessed a desirable hydrodynamic particle size (119.

Background: Non-immunogenic staphylokinase is a modified recombinant staphylokinase with low immunogenicity, high thrombolytic activity, and fibrin selectivity.
Objectives: To assess the safety and efficacy of a single intravenous bolus of non-immunogenic staphylokinase compared with those of alteplase in patients with massive pulmonary embolism and hemodynamic instability.
Methods: A randomized, open-label, multicenter, parallel-group, non-inferiority trial, the FORPE (FORtelyzin Pulmionary Embolism), was conducted in Russia.
