We present 10-year results of the phase Ⅲ FOWARC trial, which evaluated the efficacy of modified infusional fluorouracil, leucovorin, and oxaliplatin (mFOLFOX6) with or without radiation compared with fluorouracil with radiation in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer. A total of 495 patients age 18-75 years with stage Ⅱ-Ⅲ rectal cancer were randomly assigned to three treatment arms: fluorouracil plus radiotherapy, mFOLFOX6 plus radiotherapy, or mFOLFOX6 alone, followed by surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy. Considerable efforts have been dedicated to achieving the reprogramming of MG cells in mammals.

Background: Impaired clearance of amyloid-β protein (Aβ) in the peripheral system is a crucial event in the pathogenesis of sporadic Alzheimer's disease (AD). Dysfunctional monocytes with deficient clearance of Aβ and increased secretion of pro-inflammatory factors in the periphery are considered to contribute to AD development. Multiple studies suggest that IL-4 can inhibit the inflammatory response and enhance the expression and activity of cathepsin protease associated with intracellular clearance of Aβ by monocytes.

This study aimed to develop a predictive tool for identifying individuals with high antibody titers crucial for recruiting COVID-19 convalescent plasma (CCP) donors and to assess the quality and storage changes of CCP. A convenience sample of 110 plasma donors was recruited, of which 75 met the study criteria. Using univariate logistic regression and random forest, 6 significant factors were identified, leading to the development of a nomogram.
