Background: This study analyzed the application of dual bronchodilators in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) & chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) during the perioperative period.
Research Design And Methods: A total of 100 patients with moderate to severe COPD who underwent thoracoscopic lobectomy were divided into two groups. The patients in the observation group (group O) were treated with umeclidinium/vilanterol and conventional treatment (oxygen therapy, assisted expectoration, respiratory rehabilitation training) during the perioperative period.

The research field of regulated cell death is growing extensively. Following the recognition of ferroptosis, other unique and distinct forms of regulated cell death, including cuproptosis and disulfide death, have been identified. Disulfide death occurs due to the abnormal accumulation of disulfides within cells in environments lacking glucose, leading to contraction of the actin cytoskeleton, which ultimately triggers various signaling pathways and cell death.

Background: Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) represents a critical complications of end-stage liver disease, serving as an independent predictor of mortality among patients with cirrhosis. Despite effective treatment with rifaximin, some patients with HE still progress to recurrent episodes, posing a significant therapeutic challenge. Recurrent HE is defined as experiencing two or more episodes within a 6-month period.

Objective: Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is a chronic progressive autoimmune disease with unclear etiology. As a bioactive metabolite of Vitamin D, 1,25(OH)D can stimulate the production of tolerogenic dendritic cells (DCs) that overexpress programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1). Although these cells have been shown to play a part in autoimmune diseases, their role in AIH remains unclear.

Osteoporosis, a metabolic disorder, remains challenging to treat due to limited understanding of its underlying mechanism. The annual cycle of "cyclic physiological osteoporosis (CPO)" and its full reversal in male deer represents a unique natural model for studying this condition. Deer antlers, weighing up to 25 kg/pair, derive over 60% of their mineral contents from deer skeleton during mineralization.

The biological heterogeneity of colorectal cancer makes its molecular characteristics essential for therapeutic decision-making and prognostic evaluation. Recent advancements in consensus molecular subtyping, based on gene expression profiling, have provided deeper insights into the heterogeneity of CRC. CMS1, known as the immune subtype, is characterized by robust immune activity and microsatellite instability.

Lung cancer is currently the leading cause of cancer-related deaths, and early diagnosis and screening can significantly reduce its mortality rate. Since some early-stage lung cancers lack obvious clinical symptoms and only present as pulmonary nodules (PNs) in imaging examinations, accurately determining the benign or malignant nature of PNs is crucial for improving patient survival rates. F-FDG PET/CT is important in diagnosing PNs, but its specificity needs improvement.

Background: The effectiveness of using a balloon guide catheter during endovascular thrombectomy in patients with acute ischaemic stroke due to large vessel occlusion of the anterior circulation remains uncertain. We aimed to assess the effectiveness and safety of using a balloon guide catheter during endovascular thrombectomy, compared with using a conventional guide catheter, in this patient population.
Methods: We conducted a multicentre, open-label, blinded-endpoint, randomised controlled trial at 28 hospitals in China.

To explore role of NAALADL2-AS2 as ceRNA in DLBCL. Fluorescence in situ hybridization was used to determine location of NAALADL2-AS2 in cells and to verify its expression in DLBCL tissues. The miRNAs interacting with NAALADL2-AS2 and related regulatory genes were identified by small interfering RNA (siRNA) assay, luciferase reporter assay, fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction, western blotting.

The high prevalence of erectile dysfunction (ED) underscores the critical importance of interventions and preventive measures targeting potential risk factors, among which obesity stands out. Relative fat mass (RFM) emerges as a superior indicator for quantifying body fat compared to traditional metrics like body mass index (BMI) or waist circumference (WC). However, research on the relationship between RFM and ED is extremely limited.

Sepsis triggers severe inflammatory responses leading to organ dysfunction and demands early diagnostic and therapeutic intervention. This study identifies differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in sepsis patients using the Gene Expression Omnibus database to find potential diagnostic and therapeutic markers. We analyzed the dataset GSE123731 via GEO2R to detect DEGs, constructed protein-protein interaction networks, and performed transcription factor analyses using Cytoscape.
