  • Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease causing chronic inflammation and issues with blood clotting, impacting how patients perceive their health.
  • Xinfeng Capsules (XFC) have been traditionally used to treat RA, showing promise in reducing inflammation and hypercoagulation, although the specific mechanisms behind its effectiveness are still unclear.
  • This study explored how XFC works through the lncDSCR9/RPLP2/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, demonstrating that XFC improves inflammatory and coagulation markers in RA patients by increasing lncRNA DSCR9 levels and inhibiting PI3K and AKT, which are linked to these processes.

N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is the most general post-transcriptional modification of eukaryotic mRNAs and long-stranded non-coding RNAs. In this process, It has been shown that FTO associates with the m6A mRNA demethylase and plays a role in diabetic vascular endothelial dysfunction. In the present study, we detected FTO protein expression in HUVECs by Western blot and found that FTO was highly expressed in all disease groups relative to the control group.
