CCL2, a pivotal cytokine within the chemokine family, functions by binding to its receptor CCR2. The CCL2/CCR2 signaling pathway plays a crucial role in the development of fibrosis across multiple organ systems by modulating the recruitment and activation of immune cells, which in turn influences the progression of fibrotic diseases in the liver, intestines, pancreas, heart, lungs, kidneys, and other organs. This paper introduces the biological functions of CCL2 and CCR2, highlighting their similarities and differences concerning fibrotic disorders in various organ systems, and reviews recent progress in the diagnosis and treatment of clinical fibrotic diseases linked to the CCL2/CCR2 signaling pathway.

To address this, we synthesized fluorescein hydrazide by introducing a spiro-lactam unit into fluorescein, which offers high emission intensity and molar absorption. The five-membered heterocycle in fluorescein hydrazide is selectively disrupted by HClO, enhancing the conjugated system and electron delocalization of the fluorophore, resulting in highly sensitive fluorescence detection of HClO.

Objectives: The advent of O-arm navigation optimized the oblique lumbar interbody fusion (OLIF) procedure, allowing the operator to simultaneously perform OLIF and percutaneous posterior pedicle screw implantation without patient position change, thus improving the fluency and accuracy of the OLIF procedure (called as OLIF360). Nevertheless, a consensus regarding its suitability for patients with severe spinal stenosis remains elusive. This study aims to investigate the clinical efficacy of OLIF360 and its imaging changes in severe lumbar spinal stenosis cases.

The intricate mechanisms underlying natural molecular motors have been elucidated in detail, inspiring researchers in various fields to construct artificial systems with multi-domain applications. This review summarises the characteristics of molecular motors, biomimetic approaches for their design and operation, and recent biological applications.

This study aimed to assess the relationship between the pathological response and intratumoral HIF-1α expression in patients with PDAC receiving NAC, and investigate the predictive value of contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) features in HIF-1α expression.
