Clinico-radiological Approach to a Rare Case of Early Clavicle Tuberculosis: A Case Discussion Based Review of Differential Diagnosis.

A patient of 41 years of age presented with insidious onset atraumatic swelling arising from medial end of right clavicle with apparently normal radiograph. Initial computed tomography ascribed it to benign bony pathology requiring no specific treatment but patient did not respond to symptomatic management. FNAC done elsewhere was inconclusive, with no bacteria on Gram's staining and negative bacterial culture and AFB smear examinations.

Incidence and risk factors for retinopathy of prematurity in neonates.

We screened 50 neonates fulfilling the inclusion criteria admitted during the study period in a teaching hospital in a north-eastern state of India. Out of 50 neonates screened, 22 (44%) developed retinopathy of prematurity. There was significant association between the birth weight and gestational age of the baby at the time of the delivery with the development of ROP.

Histoplasmosis is usually an opportunistic fungal infection in patients with defective cell mediated immunity, and has been considered as one of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) defining illness. However, cutaneous involvement in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) positive patients is less common, and very rarely can be the initial presenting symptom for the diagnosis of AIDS. Background: Paraoxonase is a high-density lipoprotein (HDL)-associated enzyme that protects lipoproteins from oxidative modifications and from becoming atherogenic in nature.
